Re: Wenger Out protest - Sunday 7th May
Two more games to really make a point. The last game of the season should be the day he gets it with no mercy at all. Banners, bed sheets, whatever. If they even think of getting him to walk around on a lap of dishonour, that's the time to fucking destroy the *word censored*. If he thinks he's staying, life will get a whole lot worse. If he wants to take us on, he won't win. No fucking way.

Re: Wenger Out protest - Sunday 7th May
The most effective protest we can organise for the final match will be to get everyone to leave at the final whistle, whatever the result.
It should be much easier to persuade people to leave on time than it proved to be to get them to go in late as we tried at the West Ham game. It comes as second nature to most of our sheep to head for the tube well before the end. We should be pushing at an open door.
The effect of Wenger and his excuse for an Arsenal team attempting a "losers' lap" in front of an entirely empty stadium would be devastating. Press coverage of that will create a much more powerful impression than a smattering of banners or the usual demo outside the ground could possibly achieve.
Let's spend the next week spreading the word: all out at the final whistle.

When the match is over that's when the protests & banners should be at their peak!
By leaving the ground to the Wenger AKB's, club & media will claim they still have the majority of the clubs support for the has been manager
Stay in the ground protesting until removed by the stewards would be the best option IMO!

Most time over the last few seasons, me and Armchair have been the only ones in Emirates with banners.

With the 4th place trophy race over, there should still be more protests & events underway to let the club know how many fans feel about Wenger.
I know recent protests have failed to get enough support but this time the usual end of the season game different to last year, no CL qualification, no St Tottingham's Day & a much more disastrous season overall.
Calling for a walk out before the end of the game will just be presented by the club & media as being the usual fans leaving early.
Staying inside after the game would be a better opportunity, especially if Wenger has the cheek to parade around the pitch. With many fans opposed to his management.
Anyway whatever is decided is fine by me, I'll save on a match ticket if no protests are happening inside the ground & make a contribution to the Wenger Out fundraising page instead.

The cup final has put an end to any chance of protests sadly
Re: Wenger Out protest - Sunday 7th May
Sorry I hate to be negative but this is not going to take off I'm afraid. Not with the level of apathy in that soulless bowl. I was there for the 5-1 hammering by Bayern after we did the first protest and had a long chat with a fence sitter after the game at clock end. It was reported that people left in droves but there were still a lot of fans left in the ground long after the final whistle. Place was still filled with tourists waiting to catch a glimpse of the players during the warm down. You are not going to get the day trippers to make any sort of stance. It's banners or nothing and even with this only a small number of people on here are committed to doing it.Bob Bayliss wrote:The most effective protest we can organise for the final match will be to get everyone to leave at the final whistle, whatever the result.

Think Tuesday won't look good on TV there are going to be a massive amount of ticket holders who won't bother going top 4 has gone and the game is live on TV recipe for around 35,000-40,000 actually in the ground.Leyton Gooner wrote:The cup final has put an end to any chance of protests sadly
It will look like a trial run for Thursday nights next season.

It was funny being there yesterday seeing the plane when there was no mention of it happening. At least that way the pro Wenger camp weren't able to launch their own version.
Sadly I regret to inform SteveO that there was a small rendition of TO1AW by a couple in front of me as he walked to the corner waving!

Sadly think you are right. Massive credit to those who have spent so much energy, time and money in organising and carrying out these protests. But the appetite is clearly waning a bit since it reached peak around the time of City, and I don't imagine there will be much appetite in these last two games.Leyton Gooner wrote:The cup final has put an end to any chance of protests sadly
Re: Wenger Out protest - Sunday 7th May
I see that the inter milan fans held a protest at their game today on the back of their shit season - apparently at half time they walked out with a banner saying something along the lines of "you are not worthy of our support so we are going to lunch"

Can see it now, a banner right across the North Bank saying "you're not fit to wear the shirt. We're off to the pub."OneBardGooner wrote:http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39916270

Everyone protesting take in a bag (or two) of flour and just do 'The Flour dance' at the end that'd soon move people on.
It's called 'Saying it with flowers'

We did it to fuck up an NF Rally that they were trying to hold near our Uni back in the 80's and all the so called 'ard men' ran like a bunch o' pussies cos they didn't want to get their clothes etc covered in flour
