THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The Arsene Wenger Show continues. He will make people aware of his decision when he deems them worthy to know. Bollocks to the fans and to the club's best interests (including retaining its two best players).

While he doesn't like the criticism he absolutely loves the attention and the feeling of power.

so that explains why we lost at WBA.....

Arsenal players may have been distracted by the upcoming international break in their 3-1 defeat to West Brom earlier this month, according to Arsene Wenger.

surely eaton educated Chips Keswick cannot be an idiot...reading stuff like this????

Great to see the banners and photos from around the world! :barscarf:

TOF is still stringing it along. I despise this old cúnt, even just for this contract bollocks hanging over the club and fucking up yet another season, let alone the dismal failures on the pitch this past decade :banghead:

Having looked at the Hill-Wood interview in 2007 that Tollgoon posted on page 2,035, it was clear then that there was always money for transfers, even in the first year at Cashburton! I've also read an OG article/comment that basically says that the austerity lie was basically a partial cover for the failed Project Youth and it's well known that TOF overpaid a lot of shite. So many AKBs try to totally excuse him from 2006-13, when in fact we had the money all along. Wenger is a FRAUD!

Of course, paying £30M+ for players in recent years is all well and good, but not if they are surrounded with shite and never coached. All that money, tens and hundreds of millions, the club has generated and received in the past decade and we only have two FA Cups to show for it. Whereas we flatline in the Be All and End All and we collapse in the league every season. Where is the genuine justification for this purgatory continuing? Any other club, any other manager; this would not be tolerated for the decade that it has been.

There is supposedly just 62 days left of the contract, but we all know the parasite will desperately try to cling on to power as long as he is alive :censored:

We're hearing it may be a one year deal, which will basically become a rolling contract. Then there's the two year contract with an option for another two years. MAKE IT STOP! :suicide:

It's all psychology to take the players' minds away from the farce. Don't put anything beyond this fraud. He's very calculated and cynical. He wants to remain the sole focus of scrutiny to allow the players to focus on the game. This team is so bad at the moment that it really doesn't need a helping hand to serve another diabolical performance.

Very insightful interview from our beloved chairman. Full transcript:

What’s the latest on Arsene?

Nothing

Do you expect him to stay at Arsenal for the next two years?

I don’t do press interviews - you know that. I never have done, I’m not about to start now.

What have you made of what’s happened at the club this season - of the uncertainty?

Football is a very uncertain game isn’t it, you don’t win them all.

Do you think he will stay at the club for the next two years?

I never make press statements. You know that, I’m not about to start now.

How do you think the season has gone?

It started well, but it’s become rather disappointing - you watch football.

Do you still think he is the right man for the job?

I’m not answering that.

Complete and utter prize prick. Got nEarly as much contempt for the fans as Wenger.
