THE WENGER THREAD
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
EPL wealth is due to TV money.
Not because they built the business.

Now i wonder how those fans would feel if someone came along bought their club and then they stayed in the same position for 12 years, fighting relegation but being charged a lot of money and watching a lot of shit on the pitch, perspective is a bitch when you're looking up but when you're up high it can be just as much of a bitch..... but then some people only ever worry about their own woes because they are always worse, i get you could call our problems insignificant from so far away, just like theirs are to most of our fans

More great words from the man himself....fascinating insight into his thoughts...
Arsene Wenger has no intention of drawing a line under his management career this summer because, for him, "retirement equals death".
When you see what the club was then and what it is today... when I arrived there were 70 people working for the club, we are 700 today."

Why doesn't he just fuck off. Honestly, just fuck off and shut up. Everybody is fucking fed up of listening to this *word censored*'s embarrassing nonsense.Redarmy wrote:More great words from the man himself....fascinating insight into his thoughts...

One share was £400 today it is £18000.
First time I've ever heard a "manager" talk about the share price of a club. Showing his true motivation at last - vermin scum.

OK, so if Arsenal go with Adidas and earn an estimated £90m per year, how much do Adidas make from it on shirt sales?GoonerMuzz wrote:More club propaganda from the club to cheer us up or a move in the right direction![]()

Of course. That's the truth.Kvltman wrote:
Since the timing of his arrival to now I think the game has changed rapidly and we would be in a similar position having had 3 or 4 managers in this time and now not being held to ransom by a guy who is scared of retiring and a board that is indulging him.
The club is becoming a bigger farce by the day. I see it more and more as Arsene FC and I want Arsene FC to be humiliated in every game they play in now.
The Arsenal would be in a similar...or dare I say it...much better position because of the changing times, and the Premier League TV money, and the fact we're in London, playing in the PL.
FFS! Just look at the c.unts down the road, even those half-witted pikeys have managed to build half a Stadium.
The fact is that we have morphed into an image of Wenger...and that has to change.
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Would any big corporation give Arsenal a major sponsorship at the moment? Bad publicity, internal fighting amongst fans, poor results, almost certain not to qualify for the CL, a manager who is not liked by a large proportion of the fan base but adored by the owner.......seriously, would ANY company really pump hundreds of millions into Arsenal right now? Why?

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Exactly. He's peddling the line about having essentially built th club in a desperate attempt to pander to the more extreme nature of AKBs. Ironic that he constantly complains about not being able to compete financially but when it suits him he will happily suggest that he has turned the club from near bankrupt into a wealthy behemoth.rodders999 wrote:One share was £400 today it is £18000.

In the last ten seasons of his reign we have won two FA cups and pathetically lost one League Cup final.
In the last ten seasons before he came we won two league titles (including losing just one game in 1991), two League Cups (back when it was a big competition), an FA Cup and a European trophy (as well as reaching another final). We were the third most successful club in English football history.

Wenker is an utter c.unt and his bullshit comments like this one and the share price increase, drive me absolutely bonkers - how the fcuk can gazidas and other members of the board, not see/hear comments like this and cringe and be embarrassed by them ? They see pressure coming from the fans and meeja about the batterings we are getting from other big teams, and the lack of bottle in the team (and other issues), and then they see the club figurehead come out and defend himself by talking about job creation and share prices

Wenker's "retirement" cant come soon enough for me (and you can interpret that any way you want)

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
WTF has the price share got to do with shite performances on the pitch and clueless team set ups and substitutions. Unless you area business manager, leave the business to them and deliver results on the pitch. WAC. I've always been convinced he's got shares and secret bonuses we will never be privy to. Niall Quinn, Henry and Tosser Neville all tippy tapping around the WEnger issue now on Sky.

Yet more bullshit comments from a bullshit manager! I just want him out of our club even if he's dragged kicking and screaming. I've nothing but contempt for the arrogant, delusional and clueless meglomaniac. Just go for fuck sake!
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
comments like that are just ridiculous when you consider how much football has changed in 20 years, the wealth of the club is only in line with everybody else as a general rule,i bet its only in line with any top club, its no different to saying 'when I became arsenal manager in 96 the wage was £250,000 P.A bit now its £8m,so fucking what, what does it prove?if anything it proves we were performing far better on less money
