But asked by Standard Sport if the board had set a clear aim for the remainder of the campaign, Wenger said: “No, I tell myself to finish as high as possible.

So he sets his own target(s) and when he fails he just shrugs them off?, and some people don't blame the board??.

Basically - yep. I've long said it that Wenger is the immediate problem that needs to be removed, but the Board are also a huge problem and they need to be removed ASAP too. Any new manager will only have to deliver the utter mediocrity on the pitch and the cash off it, that Wenger currently delivers, to keep these dicktards happy.

I agree that the protest needs to be focused and Wenger needs to be the target of that focus. But for the long term health of our club we have also got to get rid of Wiggy, Gazidis, Sir Chips Chippington Chipley and the rest of the parasites that populate our boardroom. :x

I have a mate who i used to go to matches with who said in 2015 after we won the cup that ok Wenger has got to go if can't make changes in the next year...

just been in contact with him now...2 years on and he now says that a new contract is the best option!....because if he knows it is his last chance then he will have to do something   FFs they just do NOT GET IT! :banghead:

he also said that if he leaves he will probably go to PSG and start winning trophies and who would you get to replace him
The signings over the past 10 years have been poor, I put this down to poor management and poor scouting!
If acquisitions had some form of credibility pre wenger, that would be lost with wenger...
Always thought Xhaka was a decent player, until Wenger got his bony hands on him!
Chambers again decent signing, fucked over by Wenger!
I am sure you can add to the list, the manager is a freak, you could give him Messi and given wengertime he would become Messy, he is a fucking disaster!....

On the new contract, I don't see the fans going crazy, and more joining the protests, if he signs in the next few weeks. If anything, the reason that more people have protested, than in previous years, is because Wenger is in the final year of his deal, so they feel they can impact change. Once he signs, most fans will know they're powerless, and wont see the point in protesting. Add to them, the AKB'S, and the fans who are indifferent to anything happening(good or bad) at the club, and most will move on and just support the team. Welcome to Arsenal, the most passive fan base in the world.

had an interesting conversation with an AKB today at work,he came out with all the usual shite about weve got no money,i reminded him we spent 85m last summer while Chelsea spent 22m,he even said we are gonna spend massive this summer and put right all the problems,i just looked at him and laughed,he then said that he put money on us to beat city on sunday to which I again said you are off your head and told him the easy money was on getting bummed by Chelsea and not ever beating jose,i then said to him if you are that confident about Wenger lets put a bet on now,i will bet a tenner we will never win the league again while he is in charge to which he replied 'but im a strategic bet placer,i can get better odds in the bookies' so I replied that id give him odds of 5-1 so I give him £50 if he wins and he gives me a £10 if I win,he still declined and said I need to see what the odds are in the bookies first,so I said ok 5-1 that wenger never finishes top 2 again,he still refused the bet and this from a betting man,its fucking hiliarious that he spent the previous 10 minutes giving it large that wenger was gonna take the title than refused a bet in his favour,if jhe has that little faith in the bloke that he wouldn't risk a tenner to win £50 how can he possibly say that wengers the man for the job,its beyond a joke!!,mind you he did say last may that we could end up like Chelsea and they hadn't even qualified for the champions league, what ever happened to them?

We all accept that there is a large percentage of fans that think wenker needs to go, but they wont protest or chant against him - the next poor c.unt that has to sort through his mess, wont have the same latitude with fans and we can expect protests to come a lot quicker and stronger then. In other words things wont be allowed to drift aimlessly along in the future, so the board will be put under a LOT more pressure and they wont stand around and allow the blame to land at their doorstep for failing to deal with an underperforming manager

Can you really blame Wenger because two blokes can't control themselves?
I'm very much Wenger Out but I'm not going to belt someone because they have a different view.

He's caused the environment to allow this to happen, of course its not his fault directly. but indirectly he has some blame in all this.

But yes, people need self control
