no need to rush to be honest. he knows after the support for him last night that he will be there for at least another 4 years.
in 2014 he signed towards the end of May, don't see why that should change this time around.

A Spuds title win this season should concentrate the minds inside the club  :banghead:
No chance they don't care about the Scum only us fans give a shite. As long as the money is rolling in they dont care
And that is the truth of it. This Board and owner are a pox upon our once great club. :|

Not sure where to put this but did anyone how Walter Mazzarri nearly came to blows with one of his coaches on the touchline yesterday. That was insane. Watford were leading 2-0 against Brom and had a man sent off and it looks like they couldn't agree on how to reshuffle the team. Now that's what you call pressure. The prick sits on his arse all game.

You see that's what I like about Wenger..the sense of calm he brings, the lack of panic...we have a man sent off he doesn't do anything....play your natural game, express yourselves.....no point reshuffling and upsetting the whole squad just because the ref is trying to spoil the game.

Overall we played the game we wanted...........

a chorus of 1AW was sung after the match in one block according to a vid i saw on twitter.

it's all vane super fan bollocks. ironically at this stage i think most of them are the attention seekers, "we're the real fans" is the way i'd imagine they feel. not really bothered about the clubs fortune but their own superfan credentials.

I wasn't at the game, what was the context? I haven't heard 1AW sung for many, many seasons.
Was it home fans or away fans singing?

I would love it if Sanchez follows through with his promise to leave on a Bosman unless the club sign some serious players.

It should be a non-starter. The club should be moving heaven and earth to supplement Sanchez and Ozil with like for like quality. However rather than add players to compound the quality of Sanchez and Ozil. The club would be more than willing to sell Sanchez and Ozil and pivot back to Wally and Olly, and sit on the cash.

I dont think Wenger understands how sh.. next season would be if we lose Sanchez. if you thought this was a bad year, take Sanchez and Ozil away, and we couldn't say we have a better strike midfielder and striker than Everton's Lakuku and Barkley.

This year was falling out the top 4 and behind Spurs (yes its happening, they are better than us), however next season could see Everton overtake us, and us competing with West Ham and Southampton for 8th spot.

Wenger is a naive fool if he thinks it cant happen. Thats why I find his casual attitude in press conferences insulting. Because he is either playing down the seriousness of the situation, or simply doesnt knows what going on.

The bit at the end is incredible.

"Wenger insists that Arsenal have proven that they can challenge for the silverware that Özil craves despite the 10-2 thrashing by Bayern, as the French manager drew on the two first half performances in the last-16 tie that saw the Gunners still in the game.

Wenger’s point was that, had the two matches been called at half-time, Arsenal would have triumphed 2-1 on aggregate. But what seems to be lost on the Arsenal manager is that his side shipped nine goals across two woeful second-half performances, yet he has been keen to talk up how well his side played.

“If you look at the two games, the first 45 we are qualified but we went out in such an emphatic way,” Wenger added.

:coffeespit: :coffeespit: :coffeespit:

How does ANYONE take the guy seriously??? We win everything except actual trophies; 4th place, calendar year, expected goals, the best "Almost signed 11" ever. Now we should be taken seriously because we won the first halves of our tie! We lost 10-2. Perhaps we've been thinking about the 8-2 defeat at Old Trafford the wrong way for all these years, it was the only time we've ever scored 2 goals there in the Premier League making it arguably our best ever result there.

Madness, lunacy, delusion, arrogance, idiocy... what else there is left to say? It is beyond any comprehension how the hell he can spout shit like this out loud? God, I feel like crying. I need to lie down.

Yes you're probably right mate. But its worth a try. I am just posting the following letter to the Church of Satan, marked for the attention of the man himself:

Dear Lucifer

You may recall that around a decade or so ago you did some business with a group of bankers, diamond dealers etc. You know the sort, in fact one of them has been a guest of yours for several years now.

The deal was they sold you the soul of a famous football club called Arsenal. The truth however, is that it wasn’t really theirs to sell.

In hindsight, it seems to have been a bit of a rash decision on their part, as things haven’t really worked out how they were meant to. Which is often the way when people choose to do business with you isn’t it, you crafty devil!

Anyway, perhaps I can appeal to your better side (if you have one) and ask if you can see your way to releasing the soul of this great club from the demonic death grip that you have permitted.

Why not do yourself a favour and stop being so bloody evil all the time? Its not healthy!

Kind regards

An Arsenal supporter
