[quote="rtpgooner"]Edin Dzeko: I’m Staying At Wolfsburg, But I Wanted Milan
[quote]The Bosnian striker has confirmed he will honour his contract with Wolfsburg but added that he is disappointed at being denied the chance to join the Rossoneri...
Milan had made Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko their main transfer target ahead of next season, but they have met with reluctance, on the part of the Bundesliga champions, to part with their most prized asset and are now likely to turn to different objectives.
The 23-year-old Bosnian international had a meeting with Wolfsburg's new boss, Armin Veh, yesterday and reports suggest that the striker has been persuaded to stay, with the promise of an improved contract, until 2013.

There are very few players in this world that would make me question my commitment as a supporter if Arsenal signed them but that *word censored* hleb is one of them - I never want to see the *word censored* anywhere near noisy old london again much less donning our famous red and white kit again
On a more positive note however I find the more ambitious rumours around the club quite refreshing right now

Lets face it we all know that we aint going to sign ribery or benzema but after countless summers spent fending off the continual barrage of news stories linking PV4/henry/Cesc or whoever with moves away from the club I think that rumours like these, no matter how unfounded they are, make a nice distraction

As a Gooner who has long advocated the need for the club to make a big signing (as a show of ambition as much as everything else) I still am not sure if ribery would be my choice as that big signing cos, like last jan, we have bigger needs now

i agree on both points, ribery is an excelent player but we are strongest in atacking mid, we need defenders / def mids and one pacey striker.
Hleb was bad enough the way he left, but to then try to convince cesc to leave arsenal means i hate the crunt with a vengence.

Tasci admits Gunners interest
Stuttgart defender Serdar Tasci has revealed he is flattered to be linked with major clubs such as Arsenal.
According to media stories in Germany, the Gunners have opened negotiations with the Bundesliga club about a possible deal for the highly-rated 22-year-old.
Tasci has already been capped by his country and has earned praise for his consistency and versatility, with Stuttgart utilising him at both centre-back and right-back.
Arsene Wenger is known to be keen on strengthening his defence this summer and has already signed Thomas Vermaelen.
Tasci insists that he is keen to embark on a new challenge at some point in the future, with several other top sides in Europe keeping tabs on his progress.
But he is not dwelling on the transfer talk too much and admits that he could still decide to stay with Stuttgart.
Ambition
"I have the ambition to move clubs one day, but the time and circumstances have to be right for me," he told spox.com.
"I have to admit I'm flattered that clubs like Arsenal, AC Milan and Juventus have had their eye on me in the past.
"But I'm not getting carried away with this. I'm focused on Stuttgart and looking to return to action following my knee injury."
Tasci is concentrating on helping Stuttgart advance to the group stage of the UEFA Champions League after they clinched a play-off spot by finishing third in the Bundesliga.
He said: "I'd love to play in the Champions League this season. We'll have to show up in qualifying of course, but I don't mind who we play.
"We want to advance to the group stages. We might be paired with Arsenal, but we can beat them as well."

Veloso
again!
Every summer he seems to be linked with every club with half a penny to spend.... and after all this paper talk and speculation, I bet he's shit!
