According to the Times, he wants more time to consider. While I would prefer it settled one way or another (rather he stayed but if he has to go, do it now to give us more time to buy), I can understand the hesitation.

Arsenal, a better manager, a team in the CL who have reached several semi's and a league title challenge in last year. On the other hand, limited budget at club and fans who would boo him no matter what he does at this point. Will call him greedy for rejecting higher wages at City if he does stay.

Man City have a far higher budget to splash out on players, will give him higher wages and could well spend their way into CL but will lack of CL experience, a volatile squad, questions over Mark Hughes ability and an unproven (in terms of not being silly with their managers) board hinder them this season? He can probably sacrifice one season without CL but two?

He wont have to sacrifice 2 seasons magic cos after an outstanding season where he scores 16 league goals (inc 6 v burnley or some other piss poor team  ) the self proclaimed top striker in world football ever will be head hunted by every top club in the world

Arshavin calm over Ade future
Arsenal forward Andrey Arshavin has told Sky Sports News he trusts manager Arsene Wenger's judgement over whether to replace the potentially departing Emmanuel Adebayor.

Togo international Adebayor has been linked with a reported £25million transfer to Manchester City and talks are believed to be at an advanced stage.

The towering striker has proved an excellent weapon for the Gunners since he joined the club from Monaco three years ago.

Adebayor has netted 62 goals in 142 appearances for the North London team but has grown unsettled at Emirates Stadium.

Arshavin concedes it is up to the attacker whether he leaves Arsenal but is confident the club are in safe hands under Wenger, who is said to be lining up Bordeaux's Marouane Chamakh as a replacement.

The Russia international told Sky Sports News: "I think it is very difficult for Arsenal and Adebayor as well.

"He is an excellent striker. Everybody knows him and he can score from nothing. But it is his decision whether he wants to stay or he wants to go.

"We have Arsene. He knows everything. He knows if we need someone then he will buy."

How is it when it comes to transfers we can neither seem to buy a player quickly or as it now seems we cant even sell a player who another club want and are willing to pay 25m. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
