BARCA HOME GAME THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

just read this on bbc site
Barcelona were suddenly rocking and Wenger's team turned the tie on its head and, roared on by feverish backing on a thunderous night, scored the winner when Arshavin arrived on the end of Nasri's right-flank cross to steer a precise finish past Valdes.
well done to all you lot that were there, sounded brilliant

Great result, shame the press are already banging on about how we're gonna get turned over at Camp Nou. *word censored*, can you let us have just this one please?!

Thought we dealt pretty well with them tbh. You know they're gonna have lots of possession & get into dangerous areas but for the most part I thought we shut them out well. Jack & Kos were immense, most people had a good game though to be fair. On the lookout for highlights now, was down the other end to where the goals were so need to catch replays of them...

The atmosphere in the last 10 minutes was absolutely unreal. Best I have seen at the Emirates. Even beat the reaction when Gallas equalised v Manure. Kos was immense tonight. Cesc was poor. Everyone else did well, even Eboue!

Cesc made up for in the last 15 minutes! Great ball for Nasri!

And I really think we do. Barca are rightly considered one of, if not the, best club side in the world. Have to say though that there really aren't too many teams standing between us and them! This isn't David against Goliath, or Orient against Arsenal. Despite what a lot of people are saying on here - on paper at least - there isn't that much between us!

I'm aiming to leave work a tad early to be sure of getting in there just after 7.15pm. Bring it on  :barscarf: !!!!
Just home - fucking accidents on M1.....

What a night! What an atmosphere! What a team! What a gutsy performance! Haven't had a chance to look at other postings yet - will do tomorrow - but Kos & Wilshire stood out for me.....And even Eboue did a job. And, Wenger had a plan B, and it changed the course of the game....!

Just wish I was going to the second leg now......!

PS apologies for quoting myself.....but there were a lot of doubters before the game.....keep the faith fellow gooners..... :barscarf: !

Even in the last 10 mins there were occasions where his passing was poor and at one stage he looked like he couldn't be bothered. Strange.

The shout when that second goal went in was the loudest moment at the Emirates....ever! Awesome.
Koscielny was OUTSTANDING, best game yet from him. Jack was superb. RVP was off form but took his goal very well, Eboue was poor as usual. The rest all put in a great shift although I'm amazed Song didn't get sent off with the repeated fouling! Fantastic night, great atmosphere. :barscarf:
