Ah but the gervinho has been feeling lonely and needs a fellow compatriot to help him out because he is actually still in his "adaptation period."brazilianGOONER wrote:many gunners on twitter are happy and saying kalou would be an improvement on what we have. Here we go.
According to reports in a couple of places, Chelsea forward Salomon Kalou has flown back to England from the Ivory Coast squad to discuss a move to London rivals Arsenal. Kalou is out of contract at the end of the season and Arsenal are rumoured to be prepared to pay £3million for the player, who has been preparing for the African Cup of Nations.
I am quite underwhelmed about the Kalou rumours as well. The only reason that I could see it happening is because Arshavin/Chamakh is getting sold and Kalou is cheap as chips. Also, Therry will be a stop gap and replacement for RVP than Gervinho.
Again - no ambition. It's all about the penny pinching.

I called the Kalou transfer months ago and was laughed at by the AKBs.
The farce this club has become under Wenger is ridiculous. Silvestre, Benayoun, Kalou. Just add Bridge too and we can become a cast-offs home for the big clubs!
Hope this signing happens. Imagine how priceless it'd be having Gervinho, the Ivorian Tony Daley on one wing...and Kalou, the Ivorian Glenb Helder on the other! Running into each other! Sell Arshavin for £10mil, but Kalou for £3mil.
Bank more profits. MONEYBALL BABY!
Wenger is killing this club. Wake up.
4th most valuable club in the world, moved to compete with biggest clubs in the market yadda yadda. An epic embarrassment.

I know its been mentioned about Kalou but there was the guy from Sky Sports, Dhamesh Seth, that runs their stories on the transfer window.
He says that the Kalou deal is definitely a goer- the only thing that is left to be resolved is whether he joins now or in the summer.
Looks like another cheap and classy addition from Our Dear Leader

Talking of new signings....
The club we know and love seem to have sunk another rung lower into the mirky depths of Profit at any cost (no punintended)....
They bring back a Legend in the hope he can still work some magic and dig us out of the mire we are in because the manager is no longer able to do his job properly....Oh! and let's not miss another opportunity to skin the fans furthet after raping them on the tickets etc...
http://www.arsenal.com/splash/543/the-l ... umber-now-
Let's see if we can wring any more money out of them...
I'm sure all the AKB's and the 'Global' fans will want the new Thierry Henry shirt...what a bunch of *word censored*...his number was 14 - why birsmirch our memories further.Yes he HAS to have a squad/shirt number, but to 'actively' promote it...

And how on earth can this even come into fucking play? I think we all agree that we don't particularly want the guy. However, if he is coming then why the fuck not now?? It is here and now that we need him - repeat Mr.Wenger....we are one RvP injury away from oblivion this season. Chamakh and Park are utter, utter shit and TH14 goes 'home' at the end of February. So how the hell will it help signing Kalou in July exactly ?Wengerball wrote:I know its been mentioned about Kalou but there was the guy from Sky Sports, Dhamesh Seth, that runs their stories on the transfer window.
