Olympiacos cl game thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

It will be Dortmund and surprise, surprise, we'll see them off. Really, unlike most of you I actually do fancy our chances against every oposition (okay, make that 'other than Barca'). :barscarf:

We'll win and everything will be rosey in Wenger's palms

Poor as we were in the second half, and poor as half the team played, we did miss two sitters in the first half that could have seen us out of sight.....!

Just watched highlights of the Dortmund game. Fucking hell, how depressing was that? They play just like we used to - fast, direct, quick movement, zipping the ball around. Brilliant (and to be honest, terrifying) to watch. City just couldn't cope with the speed and movement. They'll absolutely murder us if we draw them, as will basically any of our potential opponents tbh :(

Ha ha ha thanks Arsenal, 29/1. Had a date, didn't even think of the game. Lovely meal and wine, great company and £580 better off.

No sex. Damn. 8)

3 players stood out for me last night. For all the wrong reasons.

Ramsey was appalling. He makes Eddie McGolderick look like Messi FFS. My 7 year old son Jack is a better footballer than Ramsey. So is his 70 year old grandmother. And they are both physically stronger than him too.

Comedy Gervinho is now more shit and more hilariously bad than Comedy Eboue. The dizzy kúnt can barely control the ball now. Gervinho? Brazil phoned, they want their name back. :x

Chamakh is not a camel. A camel wouldn't be as shit at football as he is. And we are talking about a camel with 3 legs, an impacted bowel infection and a bad case of dropsy.

I am not kidding when I say neither Chamakh or Forehead would be starters with my average to shit amateur Sunday league team. I have actually seen a couple of our lads play better on a Sunday morning whilst equal parts hung-the-fuck-over and still drunk. One of them can vomit harder than Chamakh can kick a ball. FACT. :|

This really sadly sums upthe conversions we were having last night.

"Guys dont be getting worked up we all know this is the scenario every season, why are people surprised".

This is extremely true and unless there is a view in the boardroom that the finances are tasking a dip, then I think nothing will change. Basically even if we spends big (panis buys) in Jan, there's unlikely to be much change this season or next sadly.

As already mentioned by another post, this takes me back to the horrible green/blue kit time. By christ the team were poor then....
