How to solve the Ozil problem?, cut our loses and sell him in the summer.I notice that the Club,(via people like Podolski),are beginning to suggest that his lack of performance is OUR fault for critisising him-bless.
Ozil is the new Asharvin-GET RID!!!

Every time I see that shit from him I remember that Stuart Pearce really was and still is one of the biggest tossers in football. Rent-a-quote, Ing-er-land, loud-mouthed thug.
Ozil needs a bit of time and a decent centre-forward to put goals on a plate for. At the moment he hasn't had that and his arrival was all last minute and presumably a shock to his system.

How hilarious that a complete buffoon like Pearce was in charge of nurturing young English talent and managing their transition into senior international football for over half a decade.

Ahahahaa!! I found your post very amusinggreen gooner wrote:Maybe when Ozil signed he was assured by Wenger that more 'big names' would arrive in the next window, now like the rest of us he feels cheated, let down and totally disillusioned.
Or maybe he is just a lazy twat

Re: How to solve the Ozil problem?
Lost my patience with this guy after that diabolical penalty miss and more importantly how he reacted after it, like he couldn't give a shit. Definitely not writing him off this early although I was fuming at him in the match thread, but he needs a serious attitude adjustment.
I fear he could be another ruined by Wenger unless the talent is there to support him and the tactics that play to his strengths but as we all know the latter will never happen. It is also evident by the Sanogo/Anelka comparisons from professor crackpot that you shouldn't hold your breath for any world class strikers coming in the summer.

Of course not - we have Joel Campbell too (if he qualifies for a work permit

Oh and also that would mean Wenker had gambled and got it seriously wrong yet again.
Re: How to solve the Ozil problem?
Not sure how you came to that conclusion. Was clearly annoyed with his miss-shouting 'fuck' at the time. In fact the miss seemed to bother him too much, if anything, with his confidence clearly drained after thatMrT wrote:Lost my patience with this guy after that diabolical penalty miss and more importantly how he reacted after it, like he couldn't give a shit. Re: How to solve the Ozil problem?
I agree with wibble - as the German press described him he looked depressed.
He's only 25 FFS . Still a kid.
If anything, this could be a Schwarz situation - tried to fit into a team that wasn't set up for him. He was a great player, and did well after he left us.
I still can't fathom why George thought such a cultured left foot would succeed in a midfield of selly, Jensen, morrow etc who were set up just to hoof it forward for wrighty.

I don't mean immediately after I meant for the rest of the match. You can't just drop your head and be a passenger especially if we go down to 10 men, everyone needs to put in an extra shift in that situation and he clearly didn't.wibble wrote:Not sure how you came to that conclusion. Re: How to solve the Ozil problem?
He's not a kid. He is a seasoned professional at club and international level, he should know by now what kind of effort you need to be showing regardless if the tactics are suited to him or not. I know damn well if Gnabry was on he would be running all over the pitch and scrapping for every ball.clockender1 wrote:I agree with wibble - as the German press described him he looked depressed.

He clearly looks unhappy, he had that same look I remember Santi having at a similar time last year when they probably realised ''I've made a huge mistake signing for this club with this man in charge.''

Re: How to solve the Ozil problem?
Tbf I agree with that - he already looks glum for the last 3-4 weeks.
I think it's not only the manager, it's the style of football, no winter break and the weather - united and city have both had warm weather breaks to gee up their foreign players, whereas you know that with a week off our Idiot will still have our lot running cones in the rain at colney.
It's a shame that we don't have any commercial links with a top class middle Eastern airline like Etihad that could provide our team with a first class break in the sun for 5 days to warm up some aching limbs and rest some weary spirits ahead of the final run in,
If only eh ?

Re: How to solve the Ozil problem?
I can't believe anyone is writing Ozil off after what - a bit over half a season??!!
FFS.
Did any of these people see Pires and Henry when they first signed? Some players take longer to adapt to the PL than others. All of the possible reasons behind his loss of form are listed on this thread and also most of the possible cures so I'm not going to bother my arse repeating them. But to write off a world class player that cut the mustard with Real Madrid is just silly.

Re: How to solve the Ozil problem?
I kind of agree DB but he was in a league that was as two horsed as the scottish one and the majority of games would be roll overs and little effort required.DB10GOONER wrote:I can't believe anyone is writing Ozil off after what - a bit over half a season??!!FFS.

The pl doesn't offers very few (if any) of these types of matches so it could be that he just doesn't have the fight in him for this league.
Or he just needs to strengthen a bit in the summer.
Or he misses the warmer climate.
Or the kebabs over here just aren't up to scratch.
Or he misses Theo who he could release with his eye for a pass and theo's pace to get onto said passes.
Anyhow, you could see it affected him badly after that shit penno but he's 25 not 18 (in 3-4 YEARS time he will start to decline ffs), man the fuck up and atone for your mistake, he's paid a kings ransom to be professional so be fuckin professional (oh yeah and if he steps up to take a penno again I want per to go over to him and offer him some friendly advice, then twat him on the snotter and take the ball away form him and give it to someone else, any fucker else in fact

I am sure he will be better next season.....
