Chavs at home

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

If you have the squad, the team & the manager then a ref having a stinker becomes a non issue.

We were shit & had no clue tonight. No amount of blaming Mike Dean can change that.

Haven't you considered that the reason we might have such bad stats when Dean is ref is because he generally has us when we have other big teams/tough matches, and as we all know, we nearly always lose those anyway? :rubchin: :rubchin:

I was surprised at how clearly delighted they were with the point. They didn't do anything second half but as we were getting frustrated and stretched I thought we were asking to be fucked on the counter-attack.
And we didn't do anything for 93 of the 94 minutes!! :banghead: :banghead:  As the home side surely the onus was on us to create something? :?
You'd think, wouldn't ya? Not while Wengers target is top four.
This game totally suited Wenger. Still right on for top four. Thats all that matters right? We dont actually want to win the hing do we?

Wenger's record and incompetence in the big matches speaks even louder!! And as for the 'stonewall penalty' - me and I'm sure many of the same people claiming a bias against us would have been screaming blue murder had it been given for Chelsea against us and no doubt been using it as 'evidence' of an anti-Arsenal stance!!

Can't abide their tacitly approved strongarm tactics though.
What - like the ones we use to employ when we were actually winning things? :rubchin:
Thing is Hlebby, if Vieira, Adams, Petit or Whoeverthefuck had tried what Mikel did, right in front of the ref they'd have been sent off immediately.

I'm not trying to blame the officials for that shit on a stick performance, as I've already stated on this thread we were piss-poor.

However, Mike Dean is clearly bent and we don't play to the same rules when we used to win, contact has suposedly been eradicated from the game.

Check Arteta's sending off vs Palace vs Mikel tonight and make sense of it, 'cause I can't square the two.

Sorry mate, that 6.7% as a statistical anomaly doesn't stack up when the other stats quoted are 60%-odd, there is more chance of winning the lottery whilst being struck by lightning on the 33rd of December.

It's not paranoia, the stats are black and white, and actually quite disturbingly out of kilter. I'd want to check Mr Dean's accounts after we play

Well Wenger has got a 100% non-winning record against Mourinho, which doesn't stack up with his win percentage against other managers. :rubchin: :rubchin: Anomalies do happen.

Should have had a penalty for foul on Theo.
One good run from Ozil.
One blocked shot by Giroud.
Otherwise nothing creative of note.
Weather atrocious, but why not try some long range shots?
Especially with seven Chelsea outfield players defending their goal?
Ramsey played deep and did little with the ball, this massively detracted from our game.

Seems our recent bad run coincides with ramsey not playing aswell as he was in the earlier part of the season.

Only saw the second half last night but I must say that not only were we slow all half, but Chelsea were dogshit and I can't believe we have to watch us play them again later in the season. They just sat back and barely got forward at all while we seemed content just kicking the ball backwards every ten seconds.

I, like some others here, am reasonably happy with a draw (obviously I would have taken a win though) and we go into Christmas second only on goal difference to Liverpool who will likely not stay there anyway. If the moron in charge would just buy a decent striker who doesn't fluff practically every chance he gets, then I could see us beating the vast majority of the teams we have already and maybe picking up a few more points against the bigger sides.
