FA CUP THREAD Liverpool
Re: FA CUP THREAD Liverpool
What about Sanogo, how did be get on?
Re: FA CUP THREAD Liverpool
Yep nutflush. Everyone was up for this from the fans to the team.
But it could have been very different had one of their early chances went in. Thank fuck they didnt and we scored first.
Think this game shows how we need the pace from the likes of Ox or Poldi to give Ozil someone to pick a pass to or thread a ball to a runner instead of just having the static Giroud to pick out. The weight on his pass to Ox for Poldis goal was orgasmic.
Sanogo just isnt great imo. Thats twice Ive seen him now and am generally unimpressed. I know hes young, raw etc but he has the touch of a gervinho. He does have strength and presence though and occupied their defence well enough, causing them some problems.
Suarez is such a diver its actually un-real.

Don't you lot think you are going overboard with the Sanogo praise? He barely had anything to do.

Looking at the replay - flappy punched agger clean in the head.
We got lucky today - maybe our name is on the cup - though if we scrape a draw Wednesday the timing of the Toffees game is shit.
I'd love to see us in the Semi against Brighton me.

He quite well, held the ball up and gave the defenders a headache but he needs to sharpen up on the passing. Seems strong also funny aggar tried to shoulder him and just bounced off himtopgoon wrote:What about Sanogo, how did be get on?

Everyone is just saying he did alright. Admittedly, he looks like an awkward player but he has a bit more going for him than Bendtner that's for sure.spendsum4uckingmoney wrote:Don't you lot think you are going overboard with the Sanogo praise? He barely had anything to do.

And what a fantastic and beautifully weighted pass to Ox that was!!armchair supporter wrote:Yep nutflush. Everyone was up for this from the fans to the team.![]()

He was sloppy when in possession and made some poor runs. Had a few nice touches to bring the ball under control and worked hard, but in terms of technical ability and intelligence he is far behind being good enough for a side chasing the leaguespendsum4uckingmoney wrote:Don't you lot think you are going overboard with the Sanogo praise? I actually liked Sanogo's off the ball runs.trustno10 wrote:

Seems to be able to control the ball well with his chest!
But too often he would let the ball bounce of his feet into space when he received a pass, a bad habit.
A physical presence though, for sure.
But honestly I would rather have seen Bendtner, who for all his lack of pace has a funny habit of scoring when playing as a striker despite a poor first touch.

Wenger has asked for Webb to ref the Everton game

Cracking atmosphere, great result. Thought Sanogo worked hard and deserved his ovation but I'm not sure he quite has enough to his game. I could be wrong though.
Interesting coming back and seeing all the scousers moaning about Webb, I was up the other end to the penalty claims so didn't get a good view but from where I was he gave them absolutely everything. Flanagan (Edit: Might have been Gerrard, it was one of their *word censored* who had been booked who came through the back of the ox and got nothing on the ball) should have been off for a start, he bottled that decision big time.
