Also, did anyone else hear the rumours that Kompany requested Vermaelen not be played during the match yesterday?

Scandalous if true, feel sorry for Thomas.

Isnt that the same at every ground including in the premiership grounds ? I have long since argued that no action should be shown on the big screens at the grove except during half time or at the end of the game - mind you I was quickly shot down on here when I suggested it
Obviously not with a high enough caliber

did anyone see that comment by Lumpard yesterday about "the agenda" against Rooney hurting the team ?

its not an "Agenda" its the fact that Rooney is a fat useless :censored: just like you Lampard.

Woy has to drop him - he was selfish twice when he could of put someone in and he just blasted it wide.over.

Mark my words, Ze Germans will win this WC. 8)
Fred, on FM2014 has a shot rating of TWENTY!

Saying that, Giroud's is at nineteen

Being honest, how average is Neymar? :? Aside he flicks, tricks an fleet of foot what doe he offer? Barged off the ball to easily, only ever runs when he's knocked the ball half a mile in front of him by mistake and most of his goals come from no one closing him down quick enough.

If he's not injured that it.

If he comes to England not only will he be closed down quicker he'll be kicked up in the air so much the lad may well leave ix months after if he hadn't already had his leg broken. That seems to be the problem these days, a kid scores goals in a shite league and against shite opposition and they're already given a statue. I give you Pato for an example. Scoring for fun when he was younger, moved to AC Milan, did alright at first, grew up, the expectation died along with the lads career and now he' back in Brazil.

For Brazil, in friendlies he gets nine or ten chances a game against these pissy sides that are scared to even be on the same bitch as the Brazilians but as soon as it comes down to the real test, the biggest competition in the world on home soil the boy isn't living up to the expectation placed on him. Can he play better? ye. Is it his fault there is all this expectation on his shoulders? no, its not and its the players who suffer because if they don't live up to what the media build them up to be they're crucified.

Neymar is alright but he's not at all world class.

An absolute cracker - cahill has been a great football throughout his career and a tough little b*stard he is too 8)
You do wonder what the tv guys are looking at sometimes - cahill clattered indi martins (and deserved his yellow) but it was clear that it was the fall on his head that done the dutch defender but itv keep talking about hurting his foot despite the fact that he was carried off in a neck brace

How did Judas not get sent off and now we know why Villa conceded so many goals last season. Ron Vlaar was terrible. Bit more quality upfront and the Aussies win that game.

Don't have a clue who'll win this anymore, not one decent defence in all 32 teams. Must really be the year to play like Liverpool... Defence, what defence.

How many times did we hear that phrase last season? Now I know football fans have a tendency to sort of ignore or gloss over their own players' faults, but whilst we knew van Judas had a mean/pissy streak it seems to have reared its ugly head since he went to United. He's a bit of a nasty piece of work and the number of elbows and two-footed tackles he gets away with is alarming.

That is an excellent goal, 1-0 Chile. Spain have looked lacklustre, disjointed and toothless in possession but that was Chile's first real chance.

As great as the swift passing and movement was, I can't believe how fucking lethargic Spain look in defence. Pique and Ramos looked like they were running in quicksand last week and that goal was the same, attackers given a yard too much space every time.

Ha ha. Fuck off Spain. How long before the diving and trying to get an opposition player sent off starts?
