It seems surreal that we're just hours away from potentially banishing this barren spell to the clutches of history... All these years of anguish and torment, being ridiculed by other fans, getting slated by journalists - it could all be over come this evening.

I remember in 2003, winning the FA cup was good, but it wasn't special. We cocked the league right up after being miles ahead of manure. It was probably because in those days we expected to win things every year, just goes to show how you can take things for granted.

Fast forward to 2014, this is a massive game, its time to herald the start of a new era. A win tonight in style will just cap off the day, but fuck it I will take any win good, bad or ugly. I am 110% behind the lads today.

I thought the feeling of euphoria from St. James's Park would never be topped, the raging horn I'm sporting today suggests otherwise. :barscarf:

What you can't see in that section is a dazzling array of virtual trophies

Best of luck today lads, really hope you win the cup - just checked the "who do you want to win the cup final" thread on the sunderland site and with 183 votes, 76% of our lot want Arsenal to win it so Steve Bruce with his "the whole world will want Hull to win" comments is obviously talking shite (again)
