England make It to lunch on 13 without loss. What a remarkable morning of test cricket.

Australia strike; Lyth goes for 14 off the bowling of Starc. If England wins this test, thus rendering the final match moot, then I don’t know if we’ll see him at the Oval. He just doesn’t look good enough to open at present.
Bell will be in next and England are 32 – 1.

Starc strikes again; Bell is caught on the crease and given out lbw. It looked a bit dodgy (leg stump) but is upheld on review, so Bell’s walking for 1.
Root is the next man in and England are 32 - 2.

Can English groundsman make 5 day test pitches these days!
If england get a 100 plus lead they could pretty much sow it up today!

I'm hoping and praying this will turn out to be a tottingham style "Mind The Gap" type comment, steeped in pre-emptive wankology!

Dunno about that Nut Flush, Australia were absolute toilet today. I don’t think the pitch made any difference.
They were abject.

Starc has another.
He catches Cook on the crease lbw for 43 for his, and Australia’s, third wicket. England are 96 – 3.

That’s tea.
England are 99 – 3 and will be happy enough with their reply. To be honest I reckon we’ll be bowled out for 250-ish which, given the context of the game, would still be a massive lead.
