THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Going round in circles at The Arsenal

Believing that Wenger is the main problem

Believing that Kroenke is the main problem because he won’t sack Wenger, who is the main problem

Thinking that wanting the team to lose, no matter what the current circumstances are, means you’re not really a true Arsenal fan

Thinking that wanting the team to win, under the current circumstances, means you’re more of a Wenger fan and therefore not really a true Arsenal fan

Claiming that those backing the protests but not actively contributing are part of the problem

Saying that wanting Wenger to leave is right but that contributing towards banners, planes, marches etc. is wrong because Wenger deserves more respect after all he’s done for the club  :banghead:

Complaining that part of the problem is that not enough people with tickets are protesting inside the ground at homes games

Accusing those who do buy tickets of lining Stan’s pockets and therefore being part of the problem **

(** freebies are acceptable to some people who say this though because obviously it makes a real difference that someone else has paid Stan for the seat you are sitting in   )

And the worst one of all :

Wanting Arsenal to win but wanting Wenger to lose … which is somewhat awkward while Wenger is the Arsenal manager :banghead:

Good post mate and shows how complicated it is to be a gooner these days.

I would add another category though....

Believing that Wenger and/or Kroenke is the main problem, not actively contributing but still feel the need to criticise/belittle and undermine those who do. All the while moaning like fuck on the net like someone who has massive guilt issues.

And one more category...

Self righteous, uber protestors, looking down from their self built lofty perches commenting on what everyone else hasn't done!

I think you've all been very unkind to our Lord and Master.

He's not had an easy last 13 years.

He's had to single-handedly be The Arsenal coach and manager, work out new tactical formations, be the players' father, develop the first team, scout the World for new players, keep the infrastructure of the new Stadium that he built with his own blood, sweat and tears up-to-date, select who should be bought and sold, write all the contracts, check all the wiring/plumbing in the Stadium, he also personally cleans all the seats at the Emirates on a Sunday morning - a fact some of you don't realise - plus he had to look after his own family ( wife and daughter ) plus his Mistress, all without any thanks from you animals.

Show a bit of respect!

From 7AM til 5PM, working tirelessly for you lot! With no personal gain, and no recognition from anyone for his selfless and quite frankly, amazing deeds.

And then working from 7PM til 5AM on his "other project".

Laughable Wenger
...............................

The French manager... believes the spirit he has created in 20 years at the club can live on without him.

"It's more natural for local players because they have been educated in Arsenal - players like Ramsey, Chamberlain," Wenger said.

"They have to take charge. Players who integrate the values of the club" and are "ready to defend these values".

"A lot is said about my future but my future is more important in the value and spirit of what we have built in 20 years than my own person," added the 67-year-old Frenchman.

So, our British players should defend Wenger's french values of cheating on what is most important to you, lying and surrender? Excellent!

Wenger, you are a cheat and a fraud and a loser!

FACT!

Great Values! :barscarf:

I do see why it's frustrating for the guys who have spent alot of their time and money organising the protests. People like steveO and herd have been cunting the manager off for years on here and once something has finally happened about it and the wobs have become the majority they have acted like spoilt kids who have had their toy taken off them and have belittled and criticised the people who have actually got the media to question weather we can carry on with Wenger in charge.

I don't care if you want Wenger out but refuse to protest or not. Don't make out like the protesters are wanna be aftv celebs or belittle every idea for protest.

I haven't done anything to belittle or criticise any of the people who have been involved in protesting - good luck in finding those posts. In fact, I was one of the first who praised Armchair and others for some of the quality banners on display......and conversely I've absolutely c.unted dickheads like The Cook who were responsible for the anti-Usmanov xenophobic shite that was sprouted years ago and Red Wanktion who as far as I'm concerned were pro-Wenger lobbyists who set us back further

What I won't have however as a grown man, is people telling me what I need to do and pompously having a go at anyone who isn't marching or waving a banner. It seems like those that are involved in it have somehow got caught up in their own self importance

So, I'll say it again. Good luck to all those protesting - you have my full support. Just don't go round lecturing anyone who also sees Kroenke as part of the problem or who chooses to protest in another way i.e. with their feet. For what its worth the Silver memberships will be going in the bin this Summer too

Didn't you get the memo steve o ? Apparently it wasn't the cook after all, cos it was just a renegade pair of members who did all that without asking the rest of the members  I assume it must be the same c.unts who organized the banner with sanchez's dogs, and the other cringeworthy crap they have done this season    Useless c.unts are a waste of oxygen
