I think Wenger is going to somehow get into Top 4...I really believe it now. The horrific performance from Man.U yesterday, the massive deflection for our first goal, Liverpool slipping up...AGAIN & missing a penalty.... all these little things that just continue to assist him. I really thought his luck had run out...apparently not. If Liverpool win their last 2,we cannot catch them. But will they, they still have to go to WH?? And if we don't drop points in our next 2 away games I think we'll get there. Tails up, flying high, Sunderland with nothing to play for and Everton, horrendous away from home.

This is going to be hailed as tantamount to winning the treble..can you imagine the papers..Proved all his critics wrong again....Bet those Wenger Out Protesters feel stupid now, etc,etc.... Of course we still didn't actually win anything!!! Does that matter as we are now seen by most of our fan base as a mid table team who Wenger has got, without spending a lot of money (another lie), punching way above our weight. So depressing :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

The press are on to it like a plague of locusts, the top 4 finish will perhaps he the most historic as we were written off, it just does not rain it pours, a flukey FA Cup win maybe on the cards pending Wengers deal with the devil!....

The thing that drives me nuts with the cúnts in the press is that somehow it is acceptable for Arsenal to be scrapping for 4th but not acceptable for citeh, the chav, the manc filth or the victims. The press fuckwits are hounding Guardiola already and they helped hound Beavis and Ferguson-Lite Moyes out of manure because of not winning the PL for a season or two but somehow after 13 seasons of not winning the PL Wenger still gets a pass! Why is it acceptable to them that we scrap for 4th but not acceptable that the other so called "big clubs" do the same? Cúnts. :x

I really hope we don't finish in the top 4 because we have a chance of winning the Europa League. I think the club needs to win a European Trophy and it's not going to be The Champions League.
After being stuffed 10 v 2 I've just had enough for now and would like the club to put a trophy in the cabinet just like United are trying to do.
Chelsea have won it so yeah either finish third in our qualifying group or finish 5th in the Premier League.
One season away from the CL is not going to destroy our chances of signing players that's already a problem.

I really don't think that squeezing into 4th would mke the blindest bit of difference to either the board or Wenger's decision on his future. I really don't.

Still think it's highly unlikely anyway. Even ignoring the fact that we haven't won at Stoke or Southampton for 7 or 8 years, and that Koeman (like Pochettino) has the wood over Wenger, Liverpool and City's combined last five games are much easier.

I suspect he will he here next year, but whatever the decision will he has already been made.

Not everyone in the media is guilty of buying this regular false dawn. Writers like Henry Winter have been calling out the fraud for years now. We are not finishing 4th. Lightening is not going to strike twice and I fully expect Southampton to bring us down to earth. Wins bring out the AKB mob the same way the dissenting voices grow with every loss. That's something we all have to accept.

Wenger couldn't even win the UEFA Cup in 2000 with a proper Arsenal team including Seaman, Dixon, Adams, Keown, Vieira, Petit, Overmars, Henry and Bergkamp. Do you seriously think this shower could win the equivalent with him in charge 18 years on?

It doesn't matter who he signs....And Wenger won't win the Europa League anyway. It's such a reality check on his massive ego he will treat it as he does the League Cup. That's the problem with him, he treats the "smaller" cups like they are beneath him, yet the bigger one's overwhelm him.

Take Care Mate - See you on the far side of Wenger Out!. :barscarf:
Think Southampton on wednesday will be my last game. There's call to boycott the Sunderland game and to be honest the stadium is so soulless at the moment I going to give Everton a miss as well. Then it is just a case if he signs or not. If he does, then I'm outta here after 30 years.

Ok I get your point but Celta Vigo got to the semi and they are totally useless. In a ideal football world it would be a trophy I would love us to win. Let's face it nobody is going to dislodge the Madrids and Juventus in the Champions League for the next few years at least. Plus Munich and Barcelona. Premier League teams are well behind

I agree with you. Although I said something like this after the Man City Semi and you said it was ''lunacy'' To be fair it was lunacy ... but this is Wenger we are talking about and his luck never knows when its time to run out.

That football cliche about luck evening itself out over a season just doesnt apply to Wenger. I actually cannot think of an occasion where he has been unlucky. He is a freak and the run of luck he gets when he really needs it is even more freakish.

Totally agree with your prediction about how some of the media will react to another top 4 finish. I think I will need to find a retreat somewhere very remote.

We wont get top 4, too many things just need to drop into place, in the past we've usually relied on one team (usually spuds) to lose the plot and let us sneak in, we need at least 2 teams to lose it now and we have 2 very difficult fixtures coming up, if we beat Southamption and Stoke I will change my mind but we have terrible records away against both of them so the odds are against us.
