THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The guy is hurting big time - But so are we and we don't have Zillions to comfort us on a beach in the tropics....

I used to feel sorry for him..but now

He just needs to be brave and honest and GO!

Anything in the last 5 years or so make you think that this is a likely scenario ?

Excuse, excuse, blame refs, pitch, opposition, excuse, excuse. It's never his fault.

I have a feeling he'll quit. I really do. Look at him, look at the way he behaved today. The stress, the agony on his face. Not shaking hands, running straight down the tunnel.

This is the end of Arsene Wenger.

I think he is mentally ill, and not as a slight either.

he did say in his interview yesterday "you think i'm paranoid" or something, and I do. I think he is like a senile stubborn old man who won't admit he's wrong.

ask yourself this - why the constant sticking with Gervinho and Ramsay despite repeated poor peformances ? - why the 70th minute subistitutions every week. on the dot. why the lack of preparation, studying opposition, the lack of a plan B ? why the claptrap every week - self belief, maturity, spirit. bollocks,.

I feel sad too - he still has bought quality in Pod, Giroud, Carzola and Monreal, but that quality needs to be organized, dsciplined and fitted into a system that the whole team can understand, and his 'free' approach just doesn't work anymore.

he's done. as I said 2-3 months back - imho he is no longer able to coach at any level. look at the home losses just this year - Swansea, chavs, city, Blackburn, schalke, Bayern and the losses at Norwich and Bradford FFS.

the momentum of the club is clearly downhill and every year i hope that Arsene will turn it round with a change of tactics, training or awareness, but he hasn't, he won't and he's done.

Even the neutral 5Live are grilling Wenger and Arsenal, they have had enough of this bull-shit from callers! Our wage bill is higher then Bayern Munich's!

Please god let this be true. Can't someone just start a rumour on twitter saying that he's resigned just to give me 2 minutes of hope?

But, but he has won the FA cup more times in his 16 years in England than any other manager. :banghead:

If I woke up in the morning and he was gone it would be the happiest day of my life.

Nope. As I pointed out yesterday, Ferguson's won it more times (five, to Wenger's four).

all it usually takes is one Journo asking "will you stay til the end of the season Arsene"

anyone putting cash on the Villa press conference being done by SB ?
