THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The thing i find most disconcerting is not the bollocks in our own media but the lack of anything in any of the foreign media. If he were leaving i'd expect them to be having talks with potential replacements elsewhere and there is not a Dickie Bird of it out there, just the odd rare bit of speculation in the click-baits.

There are a couple of European journalists that have their fingers on the pulse much better than our own hacks and all i'm seeing currently is tumbleweed, for me that's worrying. :rubchin:

I guess we'll only know for sure what the club will look like after Wenger once the c**t has gone assuming silent scum is still around, let me ask you this though, if Wenger is still here next season is Kroenke not to blame for that?, because if not I don't see at what point you would ever hold him even slightly responsible for the demise of Arsenal FC. I'm sure I asked this before but got no answer...

:rubchin:
What exactly is an obssisve WOB?
Is someone who gets off their arse and does a protest march obssesive?
Should we all do nothing and just moan on forums and twitter?
Someone who constantly goes on and on about Wenger being the problem (which he is part of), in the end we don't make the decision for him to stay on and neither does he, Stan Kroenke does and he chooses to back a failing manager and stale structure, for some reason this is all Wenger's fault though?, people are missing the point totally, Wenger should not be deciding his own future, of course if silent scum allows him to he is going to back himself, because he's a stubborn, arrogant has been who thinks he can 'reinvent' himself but all it takes is either sacking him or not renewing his contract to get shot of him, other owners don't seem to have trouble here, it's not really that f**king hard but our bean counting yank will be just dandy with the new PL TV money meaning he can make a nice profit without having to care about the inconvenience of having to bother trying to win trophies.

I don't criticise anyone for protesting I just think it is absurd it has go to this stage, the fact that Arsenal fans are having to protest just shows me that we have a weak, incompetent board and even after Wenger goes, whenever that is, we will struggle to compete with the top clubs, their idea of competing with Bayern Munich after all, is losing 10-2 and probably selling them our best player this summer, if they had any balls they would have sacked him there and then or indeed last season when we lost 5-1, or 6-0 at Chelsea or... etc etc etc.

:banghead:

Lets pretend that we live in a parallel universe and where our owner has behaved in the past 4 years exactly how he has done in this real life - would we have been a much better team under a manager like simeone or ancelotti ? Fcuking sure we would, and that is why the manager is a much, much bigger problem than an absent owner. Deflecting blame from wenker is more than a bit embarrassing

Christ. Here we go again.  You own or manage a shop or a post office or something right? If you had a punter working there that was fucking failing at the primary task you set him, would you sack him? Would you feel it was your job to sack him?

Again, and for the millionth time, no one doubts that a better manager would do better than Wenger has under the same circumstances. But Wenger has been allowed to carry on failing at his primary task by the one fucker with the power to sack him. That is not defending Wenger. That is saying Wenger is now shit, has been shit for years and needs to go - BUT - the fucker that could have avoided dragging this shit out by sacking him has not done it and that too is wrong. And that dates back to P. Diddy Hollywood too btw.

You absolute :censored:

Exactly...and what we were discussing before the protest on Sunday. If they would talking to ANYBODY, it would leak. Their greasy agent would be the first one to leak it in order to drive his clients value up. They cannot be talking to anybody, we would have heard something...

The AOB brigade doesn't have the same ring to it, what will we call ourselves after the first defeat?
