THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Also Kroenke has made funds available....I'm sure allegri would use the money Wenger has pissed away over the last couple of years much more wisely. FFS. Kroenke has hardly tightened the purse strings has he?? The wage bill is immense and we have signed utter shite for multiple tens of millions....albeit they are no doubt half decent players coached appallingly if indeed they are at all. That's the fucking point.

Fixed in comparison to Varables....
Fixed Income does not change in terms of Season tix, sponsorship, :blah: :blah: :blah:
Variables will almost certainly be affected, shop sales programmes :blah: :blah: :blah:

Food is outsourced, you know those rubbery foot long hotdogs and wee wee for lager..... :cussing:

This data set will impact Kroenke and he will act as Gazidis will be telling him he has to.....this is the only way the sociopath will be dethroned. Revenues are declining on all fronts whilst costs are increasing....and it's obvious to see by everyone that Wenger will not be able to arrest th decline of performance, BUT and this is the most important element, he will never be able to win the supporters (audience) back. If change is made to get Allegri or someone of his calibre into the club, fans will be reinvigorated and global revenues will move higher. Frankly you are paying Wenger 8m a year to destroy value, it's not something the owner will put up with, business is brutal and now Wengers usefulness has ended (we know this was years ago unfortunately) but from a business sense this the case now for him to go is compelling. It is glaringly obvious and Wenger can't reverse the negative momentum that he has created. Tata you egomaniacal, narcissistic twat.
59,500 bought tickets last night - thats all Kroenke will see and is bothered about.
it is not as if there were any protests, signs of dissent.

what you are forgetting is that Kroenke is not here to win trophies (he has stated as much) and so it is highly unlikely that
he would want to appoint Allegri who would demand funds to try and actually compete.
As far as Kroenke is concerned Wenger is doing a wonderful job of deflecting criticism away from him and at the same time reducing expectations at the club.

The Europa League is actually perfect for the club as they do not need to sign any top players along with their ridiculous pay demands

I'm sorry that is an incredibly naive view, business is more than just backward looking fixed sales. It's total income including overall match day revenues, CL monies, advertising revenues - particularly overseas etc etc. We shall see about ST sales for next year but one thing is sure the current situation is negatively impacting the brand and total gross revenue .....and Wenger is paid 8m to boot. That is not good business, especially given overall product offering has diminished over the last 11 years or so.

Well I hope you are right - I did put forward the most negative view, but unfortunately at the moment there remains nothing to suggest that things will change. If the club does not use all this as a "catalyst for change" as Gazidis hinted at a few weeks ago then yes they will have been incredibly naive.

As I've said before Kroenke is a long term man and is 100 percent immune to fans wishes wrath or whining .
The club makes money and the value of his shares have soared since he took control .
All is rosy as far as he is concerned !

100% Agreed, but that's the point, it isn't booming like it should be, it is underperfoming and the brand is being damaged. I'm hoping this is what really gets Wenger out of our club for good. It shouldn't be why he should go, but it seems the only lever that Kroenke reacts to.

Radio 2 this morning stated that there were loads of empty seats...
See Wenger and his hapless assistant took theirs though lol....

Platinum would have been in the bars though, just like I did!....

Yeah that's a good article. Some shocking ignorance in the comments section but they'll always be idiotic stuff there.

Last night will probably be put down to ''special circumstances'' ... but there is something ironic about Arsenal playing a league game at the Emirates in front of a crowd that could have fitted into Highbury.

Last night empty seat protest was by far the most effective in many ways. Even the commentator said it was a shame and not what the Emirates was built for and he went on to mention the Europa League. This was an American channel so they are talking about it everywhere.
Sanchez has hit a run of form and is one of a few players who have put in a shift all season. I will really miss watching him next season. A massive thanks to Wenger and whoever else deals with transfers.

Kronke has already stated previously he want this club among other sporting franchises as a legacy for his sons

Herd is correct totally immune from anything fans can throw at him...basically he don't give a shit

Arsene Wenger is "quite surprised" at the significance placed on finishing in the top four, but said his side will fight to the bitter end in pursuit of a Champions League place.

:D :D :D

Such a clever man i am told....remember the Rugby team quote which set up 10 years of hate with Stoke....and the quote was in relation to Spurs playing them :banghead:

same thing with saying teams not trying at the end of season, already done Evertons team talk

he is a total fucking arsehole

You have to understand he isn't a very visible person either ,he lives in a compound in the middle of no-where in Missouri .
He bought a ranch in Texas not so long ago and promptly sent eviction notices to the long term residents ,he's hardly likely to give a shit about people thousands of miles away !
