Bologna winger Gaston Ramirez is currently holding talks with a unnamed Premier League club, his agent has confirmed after arriving in London.

The midfielder has also been tracked by Manchester United and Manchester City, but Liverpool held initial talks over a deal with Bologna last month and could be at the head of the queue, although the presence of his agent in the capital suggests that Tottenham and Arsenal could also be keen.

"Gaston is ready to leave Italy - so much so I am in London for talks with a Premier League club,' agent Pablo Betancourt told Calcio Mercato. "He is one of the most important players in Uruguay, so there are no shortage of offers."

The winger scored eight goals for Bologna in Serie A last season to help them to a ninth-placed finish and has a price tag that has already scared off Inter Milan.

Betancourt said: "Inter like the player but we are very far off from what Bologna are asking for him - nearly €25 million.

that's John Cross who talks bollocks.

star - The Arsenal to keep rvp until January. Cole to leave chavs on a free next summer.

I wonder if Arsene would take him back on a year contract ? i think he's MLS bound with Lumpard.

Didnt the Seville manager say something similar when we were in for Reyes for £10mill? i think he said it wouldnt buy his boots but we upped the ante by 6mill more and the player was ours.
