Such a clever man i am told....remember the Rugby team quote which set up 10 years of hate with Stoke....and the quote was in relation to Spurs playing them :banghead:

same thing with saying teams not trying at the end of season, already done Evertons team talk

he is a total fucking arsehole

You know, I'm sure that I recall somebody saying, "the first trophy is to be in the top four". What a brazen, duplicitous wanker this guy is. Why the media don't nail him on the spin and lies is beyond me.

Still, as was said on here yesterday, it's ultimately the fault of the supporters who tolerate his doublespeak and his downright lies. Expect to hear his akb acolytes telling us that top 4 is "nothing special". Of course, what will be erased from history is the scenes of the players cavorting around the pitch at Newcastle and taking the compulsory selfies, having nicked 4th place. Not to mention that last game of the season at West Brom, where poor Martin Fulop thought he was playing for us and Wenger was clinging onto Pat Rice like an old queen and looking like he was on the verge of a heart attack.

Still, not important at all, eh Arsene. Tosser.
Great post Retro, agree with every word and you've covered everything succinctly.

The Wenger and Pat Rice thing you mentioned was the first thing that came to mind reading Wenger's latest comments :D

Wenger is a master at spinning failure as success ... and then when he looks like slipping below even that level .... he moves the goalposts yet again :banghead:
Hang on!
He is blaming other clubs about being on the beach as we strive for 4th spot....

Those gullible Wengeristas still support the buffoon....

He would do if we had an owner with ambition, the point is we don't, just saying Kroenke has 'made funds available' as if that will fix all our problems is naive, those funds were not put in by him either they were all generated by the club.

I still haven't had an answer to my question as to whether Kroenke is to blame if/when Wenger renews either?! :rubchin: , I think Wenger's biggest crime is that he is deflecting all the blame upon himself and letting the cowboy in the ranch get away with dragging us down with him. :censored:

I am loathe to get into this AGAIN, but who gives a shit where the funds come from ? The club is generating enough money to make us very competitive, and in recent years Arsenal fans have proclaimed that all we want is for the club to spend the money in generates - we never asked to be a club that spends beyond it's means, and this is the bullshit that the akb w**kers have spouted when suggesting that we could become another leeds    Apart from sacking wenker, what more should kroenke have done ? He hasn't taken the cash out of the club (with the exception of two £3m payouts) and he has backed the senile c.unt when spending £100m last summer - he has done all he can

Wenger is not "deflecting blame upon himself", Wenger is to blame FFS, he is the one in charge of all football matters. :banghead:
Fully agree...... its mentioned up there, "the funds were generated by the club" - I have no problem with that whatsoever.... I have no problem with us being run that way and don't expect Stan to put a penny into this club. The days of Ambramovich and the Sheikhs throwing crazy money at it are long gone just look at what chelsea have done in previous transfer windows (albeit with a bit of luck).

Kronke is completely at fault for keeping Wenger on and not demanding more from him but there was £75m made available in the summer and probably more if it was wanted. I for one would be happy with a new manager operating under those sums in the transfer market.

It was spent terribly by Wenger and as you rightly said he is responsible for what happens on the pitch that is why we are in this mess.

Absolutely right. Those that say the club generates the funds so Kroenke doesn't put money into the club miss the point , the club is a business like it or not owned by Kroenke, and the funds that the business has generated have in the main have been reinvested into the club. That reinvestment has unfortunately been undertaken by Wenger and we know the rest. Utter mismanagement. Kroenke is to blame for not taking the mismanagement of Wenger out of the club, but until now in his eyes it's been going well which is where he doesn't understand British football. Now the business element is imploding a little I think Wengers days are numbered....the contempt in which Wenger runs the club and treats everyone is astonishing. The contract situation around Sanchez and Ozil mind boggling when you take the view that they are assets of the business, whilst all the quotes , lies, press reaction etc is also astonishing. I can't get my head round how Wenger is still in situ. It's nothing short of a scandal, and was put into context by pep who said if he (pep) was at any other club he would have been fired for his performance this year.....what does that say about Wenger. As least pep has some self awareness, something sociopaths have very little of......

Kroenke is extremely ambitious , to make as much money as he possibly can, guess what ,he is very good at it .
He has evicted people from their lifelong homes, some of them elderly poor people , at least 1 killed themselves .
How many fucks were given ?
His investment in Arsenal FC has risen in Value by 70 pct in a few short years ,it generates cash too,Stan is a happy man .

No shows at the Emirates rates about as much of an irritant as a spec of dust on his shoes,....... or less !

Wenger has practically made his career out of achieving a top 4 finish, and yet now has the nerve to come out and say it is unimportant!! :banghead:
I mean I actually agree with him to an extent when he says that but for him to say it and say he is baffled that the fans think it is so important really is unbelievable - when you consider that he has gone on and on every season about how important it is!!! :x

I had grown to really dislike the man, but I now feel just total hatred towards him. GET OUT NOW
I don't read rubbish like that but I heard him on the radio this morning in an interview where he was saying why have they dismissed it as unimportant that we've finished top 4 all these years...now we might not it's a massive deal...could be wrong but that was my take on it? Think you've misunderstood it?

Sure, I agree that (as another poster said) he is being snide and flippant, by suggesting that if it wasn't an achievement to get top 4 for the last 800 years, then why is it important now if we miss out. Well :

1. He's saying that to the media and it certainly wasn't they (bar a very small minority) who questioned his oh so wonderful record of getting top 4. They are the ones who bought his re-defining of success and have told us repeatedly what an achievement it has been. Therefore, they are fully justified to question it if we fail this season.

2. Regardless of what others have, or have not thought of his "achievement", he has heralded it from the roof-tops for years, in the absence of tangible trophies and success. Have you forgotten Swale, that top 4 is the first trophy, that you can't recruit top quality without being in the CL (it's the first thing players ask, remember ?) and that he has been remarkably consistent in never failing to qualify (to what end God knows !), along with only Bayern and R Madrid isn't it ? He can't now move the goalposts, even flippantly, just because many have doubted the so-called achievement. When he speaks, I want his opinion and it's either vital to qualify, or it's not. In his opinion, it must be a failure not to qualify, end of. The opinion of others is never worth a light to him, so these snide remarks will only alienate people more.

He is the only manager that I've ever heard define success in this way and the fabrication of this whole charade has been his. Had you asked Alex Ferguson before he retired, or indeed asked Mourinho, Ancelotti, or any other top manager how many consecutive years they'd qualified, I'd guarantee that they wouldn't have known and would have had to give it some thought. They would, however, have been able to tell you how many times they'd won it !! Our clown-shoed moron knows instantly, because it's all he's got. Makes him a sad bastard, but it makes those dullards that have swallowed his lies and spin even worse in my opinion.

I should make it clear here that I won't lose a seconds sleep over missing top 4 and I've always seen through the his total bollocks in trying to sell it as success. The reason that I and probably most on here want it hammered home to him if he doesn't make it this year, is not because we've been deluded into valuing it, but because the failure set against his own measure of success, removes one of the corner stones that hold him up. No doubt we'll hear from his acolytes and the media that "it's the first year he's missed it" etc etc, but in reality, his long heralded continuous streak will be over. Fucking good !

He should have sacked him, and should have sacked him years ago in my opinion, but that wasn't the point I was making and you know that - you said that allegri would come here if we had an owner with ambition and you stated that don't have such an owner, and I ask you again, apart from not sacking the c.unt, what action or inaction has suggested a lack of ambition ?
Has he given the manager ample transfer funds ? Yes he has
Has he given his manager free reign as to buying and selling players ? Yes he has
Has he given the manager the power to appoint his own coaches around him ? Yes he has
Basically he has allowed wenker free reign to build a team and squad fit to make this club successful again, and of course the senile outdated c.unt has been unable to do so - all that kroenke can be correctly blamed for is an unwillingness to wield the axe

Hilarious to still see some trying to subconsciously cast Arsene as a Messianic Jesus figure who died for our sins, whilst Kroenke (who's owned the club for just under 6 years) is responsible for 13 years of the same shit
He spent £100m over summer. He's about to oversee his lowest ever league finish - Kroenke will have serious blame if he renews him this summer...but seriously, it's obvious on the pitch, only one person responsible. Like the checkout guy at Tesco blaming the CEO for his inability to scan a barcode despite being given all the best tools available. Laughable and pathetic.

This is just one detail of many that all add up to huge embarrassment for Wenger. Not that he feels that way I am sure. I struggle to think of any other club where he captaincy is treated with such disregard and contempt.

I just hope the press take him to task on the top four comments and attendance figures and don't allow themselves to be fobbed off by snide and condescending remarks. Not much hope of that though considering the conferences might as wel be like the AGMs. Pre approved questions, no dissent, sit down and enjoy the croissants.
