As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

He got injured in a pre season game and is out for 3/4 weeks supposedly.

For those of you who might be concerned about how benzema would be able to take and pass our medical, just remember that last year we signed a guy that had a broken back and he had no problem passing the medical
Well Madrid have just finished nil all against some newly promoted grape pickers XI. In 5 of their 8 pre season friendlies they also failed to score a goal in what can only be described as "the Rafa effect"
Benitez to be sacked by Christmas and Bale to be at the mancs before this window shuts or in the January sales at the absolute latest would be my bet of the day.
Let me be the first to start the campaign for Wenger to Madrid

I think it was the original Wenger to Madrid rumours that saw the public outpouring of Wenger love on the streets of N5 and the legendary Real Fans Have Real Patience complete with I Luv AW t-shirts. Admit it rodders.....you just can't wait for more of this can you
Perhaps The Cook and his well informed pals can plan their latest anti-jabba protest at the same time

With that in mind, what better way to improve your goalscoring than needlessly selling Benzema to Arsenal
A pro Wenger, anti Usmanov rally led by the mighty Ty could be just what the club needs to solidify its efforts in bagging the signature of some ligue deux injury prone no mark striker before the window shuts.

Count me in
Did I read somewhere that Ty was punched recently? - If it was caught on camera, I'd love a link
He's possibly as irritating as Garth Crooks, and that's a pretty high bar!

Please tell me he was punched by someone wearing an officially licencensed AFC boxing glove? Oh the delicious irony of that
We've hired a plane to jet in the virtual Cavani or the virtual Benzema on deadline day.......I don't want either of these two fuckers anyway so hopefully Stan has forgotten to pay the jet fuel bill
So am I right, our only signing so far is an aging Chavs reject goalkeep who's worn rugby headgear the last 8 seasons?
And wonga has the cheek to tell reporters the other day that he believes the transfer window should close before the season starts, yet he is the most chronic at the last minute trolley dash on transfer deadline day.
What a farking puss-out, wuss, joke of a club we've become under this Phrench twat.

if we lose tonight then we will probably panic buy someone, if we win then we probably won't.
I did read some cynical view (which could well be true actually) which was that Wenger was pursuing Benzema because he knows he won't get him - but it will look to the AKBs as though he is at least trying to do something

So that's just pushed his price up in wenger's eyes.

One of the few things I will defend There's Only One on is that he doesn't often blow fat wads of cash on whoever the latest English one season wonder is (I know Wally's detractors will point out otherwise but I wouldn't agree with that)
Glen Johnson, Henderson, Downing, Carroll, Sterling, Fatty Shaw, Lallana, Lambert and now the likes of Austin and Stones (nice Bambi on Ice display yesterday)......I'd have been fucking mortified if he'd spent heavily on any of those clowns.
We're more likely to get the new Gervinho than we are Charlie Austin. Take a look at the Grade B French clubs and pick a bloke who scores between 10 and 15 per season and that's your man. After the first round of games in Ligue 1 the leading scorers are Alassane Plea (Nice), Romain Hamouma (St Etienne) and Floyd Ayite (Bastia). I haven't fucking heard of any of them so I'm sure at least one of them will be coming
