I feel for him to a degree as he's come to a club with no concern for teaching young kids how to defend, but that fee must hang around his neck like a fucking anvil.
Loan him out; he's going to learn fuck-all with us, and if he doesn't improve soon he'll be a 'whatever happened to?' pub quiz question in five years after a free transfer to Kettering.
If I remember rightly quite a few on here (including myself) were pleased at the signing of Chambers - As he really did show much potential at the Saints....He was okay in his first few games...but after wenger's (non) defensive training tactics he has gone downhill swiftly...
I don't think a player becomes bad overnight....which is what seems to have happened to Chambers - With the right coach/defensive coach he could be a very good player.....So perhaps a loan to somewhere like Swansea or Bournemouth who have very good defensive coaches he would improve greatly - Mind you whether he would/could get a game with them is another matter...

From the Beeb website this morning:
Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign Deportivo La Coruna striker Lucas Perez and are close to reaching an agreement with Valencia for centre-back Shkodran Mustafi.
Spaniard Lucas, 27, scored 17 goals in 37 games last season and Arsenal will meet a 20m euro (£17.1m) buyout clause.
Germany international Mustafi, 24, is set to join for a fee in excess of £35m.
It would take Arsenal's spending to almost £100m since last season.
They have added midfielder Granit Xhaka, defender Rob Holding, forward Takuma Asano and midfielder
Kelechi Nwakali to their squad.
Everton were closing in on Lucas before Arsenal declared their interest.
Did I miss something ..I mean who the feck is Kelechi Nwakali ? - Is he a postman or something along those lines???
