Perez is a poor mans Giroud only smaller, to make the rest of our midget team feel better. We have worked 24/7 for months to sign Perez......big fucking round of applause Wonga you utter fuckwit. Anyone could sign better players than you, even fucking Sam Allardyce! :banghead:

yeah jury is out on Perez.....we needed a proven top class goalscorer, is it a Wenger panic buy?

Dunno if we're any closer in reality as apparently our initial bid was €18m. It's hard to believe that we would go from €18m to £35m which is nearly €41m.

After Perez has signed for us we will hear all these stories how wenker himself was the reason Perez wanted to join us. Another wenker disciple in the making.

Guess we should give the guy a chance and see how this turns out in the end. I wouldn't hold my breath though...

Have we unearthed a world class striker for the same amount of cash we spunked away on Calum Chambers? In this poster's non 30 year managerial experience......no.

It's definitely a panic buy. Bargain basement as well as its a release clause signing. Also to pay that 18Million in 2 instalments just sounds pathetic.
Arsenals reputation has plummeted in the last 10 seasons because we don't act like a big club. If Scrooge was a football club it would be Arsenal FC. Not with wages however.

Here's an economic fact. I guess the combined value of Sanchez and Ozil must be over 120 Million. If they are unhappy due to the quality of players around them and don't sign new contracts then we lose them for much less than that or nothing. Now does that make Econonmic sense ?

£35m for Mustafi smacks of desperation.

What I know about the striker from Spain would fit on a postage stamp. I imagine Wenger just looked at the latest edition of Champs and thought "Fuck it, he'll do".

Hope they both work out; but not as much as I hope Wenger pisses off.

I feel for him to a degree as he's come to a club with no concern for teaching young kids how to defend, but that fee must hang around his neck like a fucking anvil.

Loan him out; he's going to learn fuck-all with us, and if he doesn't improve soon he'll be a 'whatever happened to?' pub quiz question in five years after a free transfer to Kettering.

And their marketing value for the club is much more. Total marketing value is based on winning trophies and having high profile players at the club, it doesn't consist from one wrinkled asshole talking shit and spouting lies about imaginery things that doesn't exist in reality.

If I remember rightly quite a few on here (including myself) were pleased at the signing of Chambers - As he really did show much potential at the Saints....He was okay in his first few games...but after wenger's (non) defensive training tactics he has gone downhill swiftly...

I don't think a player becomes bad overnight....which is what seems to have happened to Chambers - With the right coach/defensive coach he could be a very good player.....So perhaps a loan to somewhere like Swansea or Bournemouth who have very good defensive coaches he would improve greatly - Mind you whether he would/could get a game with them is another matter...

::::::::::

From the Beeb website this morning:

Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign Deportivo La Coruna striker Lucas Perez and are close to reaching an agreement with Valencia for centre-back Shkodran Mustafi.

Spaniard Lucas, 27, scored 17 goals in 37 games last season and Arsenal will meet a 20m euro (£17.1m) buyout clause.

Germany international Mustafi, 24, is set to join for a fee in excess of £35m.

It would take Arsenal's spending to almost £100m since last season.

They have added midfielder Granit Xhaka, defender Rob Holding, forward Takuma Asano and midfielder Kelechi Nwakali to their squad.

Everton were closing in on Lucas before Arsenal declared their interest.

Did I miss something ..I mean who the feck is Kelechi Nwakali ? - Is he a postman or something along those lines???

Not another midget !!!!

In 2001 we signed Sylvain Wiltord for 13 m , 15 years on we are spending 17m on one in two instalments , anyone would think we were Reading !!!!!!!

He is desperate and they know the press will be on him and the fans will eventually turn.

As for the centre back i think that is the going rate if we do actually sign him. Might as well bomb Chambers out now.

Kind of reminds me of that school disco back in the day where I spent half the night trying to get my hand down the bras of the two fittest girls in class only to be rejected before finally copping off with the fat girl who sported a bigger tash than any of the lads.

3rd choice....there are no fucking winners there folks.
That sounds a lot like my school end of term disco...... :rubchin: Was the fat girl's name Tracy????

Surely he cannot be a slow as Giroud and who knows maybe - (I know... I knowwwww....) Maybe he will turn out to be as deadly as Eduardo was - he was small yes, but what a finisher.....at least till that skankycunt destroyed his ankle

Oi! Why are you always picking on DB ????

Okay so he's a Hobbit and shorter than all the Ewoks ever born.... But how often do you come across a Hobbit who can play football with 2 broken legs - his arm in a sling and manage to wear boots over his hairy plates o meat????

:D

In fairness, Koeman has been after Perez for well over a year apparently, both at Soton and Everton, and he has got a pretty good track record for spotting talent.

Perez is very quick, bit like Vardy but younger, and probably doesn't have a missus who features in the Sun on a daily basis. And he scores goals.

We wanted someone quick, and we've got someone. That's not in any way excusing the silly old sod's summer activity, but it has got to be good for the team.
