Film of the year! If you like Sci Fi you have to see this.
I have only watched this on my tv and it is spectacular. It must be 10 times better in 3D.

Its a proper let down this movie. Yes the 3D inhances the viewing pleasure and does add depth to what you are seeing when objects appear in the middle distance, but focal range's shorten with distance so you only ever get the 3D effect in close up shots. Standard hi-def imagery on the grand scenic shots would have been just as good.

The 3D effect is not new, perhaps the technology and resolution yes, but it really was not put to the best use, shots of the flying creatures and ships, could have been done first person to get a better effect.

The story is thin at best and way too predicable so its pretty obvious the budget didn't stretch to the scriptwriters.

the real disappointment with the movie is that the whole way through i knew i'd seen it before, and after doing some net searching have found that its pretty much a re-hash of this flick

on the whole , entertaining to see a movie on a big screen, but i saw this based on hype alone and if i knew what i was getting before i went , i wouldn't have.

Hopefully the technology stretches to more commercial use where the film is an excellent story as well a couple of hours of special effects. [/b]

Finally got to watch that last Bond movie Quantum of Solace... Quantum of Bollocks more like! Not a patch on the previous one. It was just a bog standard revenge action thriller.

That's 9 hours of my life I'll never get back... well, it felt like 9 hours...

Went to see it with my kids and some neices and nephews just before Crimbo, Excellent Movie - First decent film about "Shamanism" 8).
The FX ( whichI had my doubts about ) really did add to the movie itself...in that they didn't over use 3D simply as an FX, it became integral to the way in which the story was told

9/10 deffo recommended! :D

THE INVENTION OF LYING.
In a world where no one lies one man discovers how to lie.

A lot of people will say it's a load of crap, but in a way it is my kind of crap.
I will give it 7/10. I found it very funny in parts and in one part a very sad scene.

He is basically just David Brent. Which was great in the Office but doesn't transpose to anything else. He should just stop now really.
