You have managed 4900+ out of your thread so well donemcdowell42 wrote:SammyDroppedHisShorts wrote:SammyDroppedHisShorts wrote:This thread is for all fans to say what they think of the constant dramas surrounding Arsene Wenger.
Please adhere to the rules set by Mike and remember this thread will be heavily moderated if necessary.
Please try not to start numerous Wenger threads and try and stick them here, some mods lock some don't but we need some coherence here and lets keep all Wenger chat here.
Over to you
Vinny and co.
I started this thread due to the numerous threads on this subject being started. If you feel aggrieved by some of the comments I respect that, but it's open to all parties. It will moderated accordingly if things are out of line.
I think we all appreciate what Wenger did when he arrived and for the seasons of glory, and I think we can all be annoyed at no trophies in seven years...so it's both edges of the sword.
Calling to have a thread locked on the basis of some criticism is a bit rich, after all we all pay our money and hope for a successful side.... And when the poo hits the fan only one man can be held accountable...so as much as we all have a right to support Wenger we also have a right to be concerned and criticise the boss.....within a reasoned mind
Interestingi remember how a wonderful far reaching visionary thread was locked by someone( cant remember who
) at its inception but common sense prevailed and now its over 150 pages long

Don't bother mate. Not even smoking the strongest gear possible would have anyone believing McDowell to be a visionary - especially given the evidence of this thread!!

As I said, usually I'd agree with getting Wenger out, but this season seem's different. Actually buying proven talent and still being linked with others does show promise. If they all fall flat on there face and we have a repeat of this season then yeah, get rid.
EDIT TO ADD: How can anyone call him a C**t? Where you calling him a C**t in 03/04? I'm not saying he should live off of past success, far from it, but calling him a c**t seems a bit OTT to me![]()

I know you were only referring to the transfer window and how Wenger seems to be moving with purpose this time. And not referring to the whole season. I was only pulling your leg.DarylAFC wrote:Yeah, I really should read my posts before I submit themarmchair supporter wrote:DarylAFC wrote:Not being funny mate, but we Had Gervinho, Park, Ashavin, Walcott and Chamakh. But I'm seriously feckin fed up with the same shit from the AKB's - give him till May. Give him one more season. Who else could we realistically get to replace him Hes done brill considering, Injuries, We cant compete, Man Shity, Chelski Gazidis, Kronke, Hill Wood Dodgy pitches, Referees If only this, If only that etc etc.
The only excuse off that list is the one thats actually culpable - Wenger, the man with the plan........that fuckin failed.
The man who's actually responsible for failure to win anyfuckinthing for donkeys. Fuckin joke.
Feckin does my head in.

Re: Arsene Wenger points of view
The Man who 'didn't see it', the man who gives false promises, the man who lies through his teeth, the man who embarrasses the club more with each passing season, the man who believes he is God. I give you Arsene Wenger.

I know what you mean about AKB's and I wouldn't describe myself as one of those, but so far this transfer window he's been very un-wengerish so maybe this is a change in approach? Hopefully he's realised that he doesn't know best anymore. Only time will tell but really if we don't shw signs of improvement on last season after 10 or so games then the same questions will have to be asked.

I don't see how trying to divvy the fanbase up into "AKBs" and "AMGs" is beneficial to anybody. I would say it's a sliding scale but even that's not true, it's a complex web of many issues on which everybody has different views, trying to squeeze people into one of two boxes annoys me.
