As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I'm just bumping this picture up again so that when we lose to Bradford tonight you can remember the people in this picture when they are marching through the streets of Islington next Summer when Arsene's contract has only 12 months to run
Now I am getting excited.....the very same rumours that produced the Real Fans Have Real Patience banner are doing the rounds again. Happy days.....perhaps we'll get to see it again
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is wanted by Real Madrid to replace Jose Mourinho if the Portuguese manager leaves at the end of the season.

Given the circumstances they sacked Capello and many other managers under, I wonder how their fans would react to Wenger telling them how their 3rd-place finish 35 points behind Barcelona was very important to their continued financial success and how their last-16 humiliation in the CL was a continuation of his wonderful record in the competition, pointing to the years when they failed to qualify from the group stages.
I think he'll pack it in when he eventually leaves. Although he may well be in his 80s by the time that happens.

And the production of white hankies has gone into overdrive in madrid
I would fcuking love to see the c**t in charge of Real Madrid - he would have to surrender buying of the players, surrender control of contracts for players, would have to abandon his beliefs over financial doping and, most importantly, would have to actually win some fcuking trophies Putting out this Madrid rumour again is so fcuking lazy by his camp and his sheep will start to worry themselves shitless that someone else might want him like they did last time when they should have focused on the fact that mr self morality met with Madrid officials despite being under contract to AFC

Just fcuk off already wenger
You protest too much augie - I bet you'll be there with the rest of the RedAction boys next Summer when you realise that no other manager could win us the Virtual Trophy every season and you're worried about him walking away in 2014
Everything I've thought that was going to happen is slowly starting to happen. All the other teams around us are fucking up dropping points, he is going to scrape us into 4th, the scaremongering AKB's will be pulling their hair out that he's going to join Real/PSG/France and the Virtual Trophy will give Gazidis and Kroenke the justification (in their eyes and wallets) to keep him as manager for a good few years.
We're going to scrape into 5th tomorrow night and could well be in the VT by Christmas. I will then be waiting for his smug quotes about "everybody says we are in crisis but we can win three competitions, still in the CL" blah blah blah bollocks, and believe me there will be plenty of people lapping it all up
This thread is really weird how it keeps bringing up certain events and banners from 2009, using that as a stick to beat other fans with ; Are we unable to accept that people can change their opinion over time?
Every single person on this forum supported Wenger at a certain point, whether that changed in 2006 , 2009, 2012 or whenever, so you need to get over the fact that others changed at different times.
I wonder if other club online forums dispaly such an encyclopaedic knowledge of exactly which banners were displayed when, or who wore what T shirt?
I know where you're coming from Cook but, as I'm sure you're sick of hearing, the Usmanov one in particular wasn't about continued support or a reasoned opinion, it was a foolish way to act based on false information and propaganda.
You think people here are bad for regurgitating it? Imagine what will happen if he ever does take control, Twatter will go into overdrive and that picture will be on all the newspapers and news websites, we'll be a fucking laughing stock, again. It could well have long-term repercussions.
The one about Wenger is more tongue-in-cheek because it's both funny in its cringeworthiness and highly indicative of why he's still in charge and could remain so for years yet. I don't really see the problem in trying to find some humour in the situation particularly with the fucking miserable outlook on this forum.
But can you not just argue that for many the situation is now 'LOVE ARSENAL ; HATE WENGER', so things just change gradually over time?
What is the argument there? 'You loved him back in 2004, but now you want him sacked'? Surely the same thing with Usmanov and how the ownership issue has evolved since that day?

Agree , fans can change their opinion over a period of time, they do so because they see the continued erosion of their club being caused by the club's own policies and lack of ambition. This is not jumping on a bandwagon as some pundits would have us believe. I believed in Wenger 1997-2006 , I no longer do . Because I believed in him pre 2006 does it make me an AKB? I don't think it does, Wenger was the man then and he isn't now. Tory voters will say Thatcher was your best PM ever, Labour voters will say Blair was your best PM ever , both would admit their respective leader had come to the end of their time. Same with Wenger, yes he was a genius because he brought different ideas and was a success. He no longer is and now he is an embarrassing lunatic in a sleeping bag. By saying that am I a turncoat or a bandwagon jumper ? I think I am neither.
