Villa match thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The new Adams has been inspired hasn't he.

As ever when we play against a team with some proper physical strikers he is reduced to jelly. Another average Wenger signing overrated by the fans

Excuses are there already - poor refereeing decision and Cazorla giving the ball away because he's fatigued from needless international friendlies. Wasn't a pen but if you're diving into a tackle from behind with the ref miles away and only get the slightest of studs on the ball then a fair few of them will get given.

Villa have not played well. They turned up unable to string a pass together, an absolute shambles defensively, even contrived to give us an early lead and we've still done our very best to get them back into the game.

And there goes the PL's potentially best defender :barscarf: :barscarf:

Under no circumstances should we be losing 2-1 at home to one man team Benteke Villa.

This is was we have been reduced to.

Already 2 injuries in the first 45 minutes.

Gonna be a long season ahead.

Absolutely. It's alll about decisions and Wanker's players don't make good ones because he's incapable of instilling in them a sense of maturity and responsibility.

So the epic pre-season victory over Man City wasn't a new dawn after all?

Ref is shite. First pen he should've sent Chesney off and second pen was just wrong.
Lets call it even
