Gibberish.
Asked about getting beat by all top teams around him
Response when u r a manager I will ask u the same question.
Did he actually say that ??If he did then somebody within the club hierarchy has to pull him to one side and remind him of his responsibilities when representing our club - whatever peoples opinions on him as a manager (useless p*ick
), he has commitments to meet when dealing with the media and running away from Stamford bridge and comments like the above should embarrass the people running our club

Just watched it again.
He was actually asked how much does it hurt u, the size of these defeats.
He replied take a managers job and I will ask u after

That was woeful. Like watching a team of nobodies, don't recall any of the midfielders even lookin to pass the ball forward with any intent. Everything either went backwards or sideways, and when it did get out wide we were just plowing crosses into the box for our non-existent center forward.
What summed it up for me was Seamus Coleman absolutely rinsing Cazorla on the touch line with a back heel. And then he just stood there flailing his arms as if he was expecting some sort of free kick for nothing? Giroud is the same, they need to go back to basics and remember to 'play the whistle'.
Also sad to see gooners almost fighting amongst themselves in the stand at the end.
Shit day.

Today was such a vapid, lifeless performance. When it went to three, I was actually willing Everton to score more goals. Over 38 games you finish where you deserve to finish but surely Martinez's rejuventated Everton would be a better adition to the CL. In some ways, today was worse than Chelsea or Liverpool because we weren't think of Everton as a threat, until a few weeks ago. Our defending was so bad it was untrue. There was an argument that Lukaku's goal was offside (Naismith was interfering) but our defence let him run right across them without putting a tackle in. The midfield, especially Cazorla and Rosicky were atrocious and Giroud was poor again, although in his defence The Dear Leader has left him with no backup, so he's knackered.

Giroud is the worst starting striker I've seen at Arsenal bar none.

I was at the match with my girlfriend, her summing up of the game was " I think the arsenal players hung their balls up in the changing rooms before the match" she hasnt worked yrs in football but a pretty accurate summing up I'd say.

It was mean of that Martinez bloke doing tactics when he knows AW's banned them. And not only that but he made his players run forwards quickly. How did he come up with that idea?

Was watching the match with my daughter on TV - she asked why do we keep passing it sideways all the time and not try and get the ball forward but hey she's 18 so how can she have worked 31 years in football.

I've been saying this time and time again, our attacking threat is disgustingly easy to nullify. Giroud's lack of option in behind and willingness to drop into an already cramped advanced midfield area makes it so simple to defend against us. Centre-backs can push right up without worrying about space in behind them, and our lack of quality out wide mean that full-backs can tuck in.
Today Everton just implemented a very condensed defensive shape, meaning we were just going sideways until they guided us into going wide. And then they just press the ball and invariably we either toss a hopeless ball into the box aiming for nobody in particular, lose the ball or go backwards and it starts again. Even Swansea did it to great effect, forcing us out wide and we didn't threaten until Gibbs remembered he's actually pretty quick and skinned his man.

I think we are all in agreement that wenger needs to go but the players today were a disgrace
Anyhow I'm off to the pub for some grub and a glass of wine or three and hopefully forget about that game.

yet some on here seem desperate to defend him at all times. he offers zero aerial threat, has terrible positioning, is frighteningly weak in challenging for the ball and he takes 5 clear cut chances to score one goal. utterly shambolic1989 wrote:Giroud is the worst starting striker I've seen at Arsenal bar none.

there was a lot of booing when giroud was taken off, and most people around me were livid wenger was sat staring at his shoes for the whole match but most of the abuse was aimed at the team.the playing mantis wrote:was there fighting in the stands?
