Alexis Alejandro Sánchez

Seeing as there simply aren't enough songs to the tune of 'Sloop John B', how about:

"He carries the team"
"He carries the team"
"Alexis Sanchez.....he carries the team"

Alexis Sanchez was another very gifted technical player in a gifted technical Barcelona squad. Now the World sees that he is an outstanding player in his own right. He is head and shoulders above the rest of the Arsenal squad and his commitment is frightening. An example of his commitment came at Stoke yesterday after he hit the post following a brilliant run. The ball rebounded and ended up on the touchline with a Stoke player. I swear that Sanchez passed at least two Arsenal players that were nearer the ball to try close down that Stoke player.
The rest of the football world now knows that Sanchez is more than another gifted player in Barcelona. Sanchez is too good for this Arsenal squad, he will get offers to go where his talents will not be wasted and I for one would not blame him.

Surprised this hasn't been mentioned before. Just shows how weak minded or bunch of losers were before Sanchez arrived.  :rubchin:

He will rise to be as great for arsenal as Thierry if we do not lose him. If we played Ozil in playmaker role stopped dropping Chamberlain had theo fit plus Jack fit keep and play podolski alternate with giroud and welbeck we have Ramsay Gibbs we need defenders chambers needs a little maturity yet But if we had cover for the injuries we get every season we have potential .Wenger is either making bad decisions or is protecting the board and being the fall guy
Whichever the fans deserve better so do the players who are trying so hard c'mon gooners

Any chance you could post that in English? Punctuation might help.

Even with everybody reasonably fit and far more reasoned and flexible team selection and tactics, we are still some way short unless it falls in a season where there are no good contenders by title-winning standards (like last year :banghead:)

Our defensive core - keeper, back 4 and DM - are just nowhere near good enough. Wilshere's performances were improving but are a million miles off being seen as potentially decisive in terms of winning the title or not. When was the last time a team won the PL with a lead striker the level of Giroud or Welbeck? Never. I'm a big Podolski fan but the bloke has considerable limitations and to expect to get the best out of him week in week out you would have to choose the team's shape and his specific role to suit him, and he just isn't good enough to justify that imo.

That said Liverpool last year should have made people re-assess how poor a title-winning side (nearly ) can be. Luck was (nearly ) on their side but fundamentally they had a fresh approach and a world class striker. We should certainly be cantering into the top 4 not more than 10 points off the title-winners at the end of any given season as a bare minimum.

no question about it - he is in the red zone

could well break down at any moment but if not he will struggle for the rest of the season anyway.

remember Ozil last season? he did ok for us until about now too - he has done little for us since. i really hope that Alexis doesnt go the same way
