As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

But I think Podolski is off now and Sanogo will go on loan and in their abscence if no replacement can be bought then give Akpom a go or recall Afobe.
Yep the guy with 9 goals in 68 appearances at Championship level is just what we need to keep the dream alive
Who needs 50 international goals when the saviour of MK Dons - a poor man's Heskey - is free to come and save us. Fuck me, go the whole hog and sign Jozy Altidore
Afobe has 19 goals in 27 appearances in all competitions this season.
I say that is worth a try before we jettison him for good.
What are you getting angry about?
Did I say I want to sell Podolski?
No.
Let Afobe have a chance, he was held back through injury but has overcome that and let him sit on our bench and get a bit of game time to see what he can do at top level, because at the other levels he has played at when fully fit he has shone.

You think Giroud and Podolski are a Europa League partnership?
Well they are no Bergkamp and Henry but in the absence of any forward of note joining our squad in January they may just be the best partnership we currently have, why not find out?
I remember you banging about Coquelin for years and he's been no more than average when he's played for Charlton let alone for us. Afobe is going the same way as Randall and Sanchez Watt. Whether Podolski is sold or not is irrelevant - Afobe never will be good enough to play for Arsenal

"Never will be good enough to play for Arsenal".....how many times have we heard that over the last 10 years?

Afobe has to be worth a try, with Giroud now out for three games and Sanogo likely to go on loan.
As for Coquelin I think he is a respectable squad option who can play in three different positions and win tackles and should be offered a new deal, though as I have said many times I think his distribution needs to improve.

Willing to spend £27.5m on that guy but at the same time accepting that schnederlein is not for sale ? Wave that money under southamptons noses and see if they still refuse to sell
For what it's worth, I still don't think schnederlein is the answer - he gets goals from midfield I know but I want to a purely defensive powerful beast to sit in front of the back 4 and do the ball winning stuff

I'd rather have his teammate Wanyama. Physical presence, ball winner and has scored more goals than Schneiderlin in 71 less senior appearances in his career.
A new deal for Coquelin? Im sure there are plenty of drains or other places around the ground where we can throw our money away instead.
Play three positions? Bollocks, I'd sooner play Podolski or Joel Campbell at full back. He can play one and from what he's shown he's not very good at that.
