Re: Diaby
Whether you like Diaby or not how can you have someone who is lucky to play 5 games a season? We all know the reasons behind his injury probs but that doesnt take away from the fact he can barely string together back to back games. If Messi joined us but could only play 5 games a season it wouldn't be worth having him either.
Diaby must be got rid of (along with Ramsey and Frimpong)

I actually think it was 9 minutes, Rodders...rodders999 wrote:wasn't it Fulham at home last year that bean head came on as a sub played about 20 minutes and then had to be subbed off injured again?![]()
Didn't see him for months after that.

He makes Darren Anderton look like Superman. Just cannot afford to carry sick notes like Diaby, Rosicky and to an extent Gibbs in the squad. Waste of time and money.
Re: Diaby
Nope but it was Abou who came on in that game when we were 0-1 and drove us forward and back to 1-1 to preserve his long unbeaten runrodders999 wrote:wasn't it Fulham at home last year that bean head came on as a sub played about 20 minutes and then had to be subbed off injured again?![]()

The game at Liverpool was where he had to go back off
People have turned on Ramsey recently but I had more than a few on here having a go at me when I labelled him the People's Champion a couple of years ago saying that he needed time and how much better he was than Diaby. I was also labelled a 'disgrace' for daring to suggest that Frimpong - everyone's favourite 'brand' after a measly six games - was just a headless chicken more concerned with his PR profile and Twatter account than he was actually contributing anything of note on the field
Abou is proven class - the other two are just pups in training and not very good ones at that
Re: Diaby
The trouble is we are stuck with Diaby .We cant sell him.Who would buy him? Only the British Medical council. At any other job with his medical history his contract would be terminated. But this is football we are talking about.

Re: Diaby
Yeah you're right it was the Pool game. TheFulham game was when Vermaelen scored both ends, unlike now when it's just own goals he gets.
Can't work out your infatuation with a guy who has made 9 appearances in the last two seasons but each to there own SteveO!
Oh and all for the handsome sum of £2.6 million per year

Re: Diaby
gotta agree here, against man city with Diaby playing we were world class,Diaby links up defence with attack like no other player can although frimpong when he can be arsed does a good job of it too.hasnt anybody else noticed our recent decline has been without Diaby, doesnt take a genius to work out which player we miss most in midfieldDB10GOONER wrote:Sorry, old chap, but can you clarify why the sweet flying bastard fuck you keep going on about FrimpSong and Ramsey??!!SteveO 35 wrote:Can everyone now see how much we miss the great man. There isn't another player in the squad and not many in Europe who can link defence with attack like this guy can at pace. At Anfield and Man City we were praised for the speed of our play - all of a sudden its pedestrian and predictable. This is exactly why the Imperious One will come to be sorely missed by those that mock him now. He's one of the most inventive players around and we miss him like fuck
Never mind I'm sure Frimpong and Ramsey will be back soon to save the day

I'm not a fully fledged & initiated (god only knows what that involves
) member of The AbouO35 Club but it's fairly undeniable he's been a big miss recently isn't it? If nothing else his ability to drive forward with the ball (when he gets bored of doing donuts on the halfway line) draws players to the ball and buys time and space for Cazorla. Vice-versa if they try to man-mark Santi that leaves a gap for Diaby to drive through. Makes you wonder how useful Dembele could have been for us.

I was talking purely in relation to how we started the season. I'm under no illusions whatsoever where Diaby's concerned, I'm hardly advocating building a team around him or anything, just pointing out that the horrific violent challenge on his hip by the bitterly mild autumn breeze against Chelsea has played a part in our dip in form – and possibly even more so Cazorla's. No more no less.
Re: Diaby
Absence makes the heart grow fonder and I see already that people are missing the Great Abou
Come on the rest of you admit it now - we looked a lot better with him than without him didn't we? Go on, bring yourself to do it.....its not that hard when you look at our post-Chelsea form is it ?

Doesnt say much for Cazorla's long term future if he relys on Diaby's fitnessIts Up 4 Grabs Now wrote:rodders999 wrote:How can you miss something you never had? NINE games in the last TWO seasons!!

Cazorla will be fine. No doubt Wenger is already hard at work coming up with a tactical solution to prevent Santi being smothered by the opposition in the future. If I had to guess I'd say it probably involves driving him up the M6 to drop him off at Eastlands.
