It's hilarious really. These people (Liberals, Lefties, Democrats, hippies - call'em what you want  ) are the very ones that harp on about how important democracy is - right up until they don't get what they want! Absolute rank hypocrisy.

The things I've learnt from this US election

1) The detail of voting demographic was amazing. It does make you think that they can pinpoint each individual to the vote

2) Men do still have a voice in USA.

3) The word misogynist is overused and miss interpreted.

4) Women in America would rather have a man in charge of the country than a woman

5) When Russia is happy with the outcome of the American election, surely, the world is a safer place.

6) Trump is less likely to start a nuclear war than Clinton.

7) Money talks louder than policies as no one really knows what his actual policies are

The other point that seems to be missed is that the senate is majority republican, making Trump more powerful than Obama and the last term of Bush. He will get things done his way.

I'd agree with a lot of that except;

4) I don't think it was just that "Women in America would rather have a man in charge of the country than a woman". I think it was that they didn't trust or believe in Hillary Clinton - not just a woman per se.

Also, the Republicans in the Senate number among them quite a few that will not blindly support Trump. There was an American Law professor from UCG on RTE news last night and he was one of the few sensible media voices I've heard. He opined that Trump would struggle to get most of his policies (and particularly the more outlandish ideas) ratified because he is viewed in the Senate and Congress as not strictly a Republican politician.

And a key factor in him winning was Trump presented himself as not a professional politician - whereas Clinton presented herself as the cliched nest feathering, lying, dishonest politician that a large number of Americans have grown sick of.

What bugs me too is all this data theyve been releasing about ages of voters and education etc maybe its naive but shouldn't voting be anonymous or was this data from exit polls? If thats the case how can it be accurate? :?

What i hate more is that this data is used as a stick to beat people with, after the EU election i heard someone say ' its the old people stuffed it up we should ban voting after 60' seriously heard this i said why not go the whole hog and ban women too......... Then yesterday someone said thick people shouldnt be allowed to vote (their exact words) so lets go back to the 1800's where only the upper classes can vote :banghead:

I'll never forget the day after Brexit when SlyNews interviewed ONLY old, white, obviously racist morons, and presented them as your average Brexiter. Disgusting biased coverage that was shameful. :x

They had one old granny sitting there eating her sausage and eggs in the local cafe saying "it's about time we got rid of all them foreigners! Make England English again!"

They then interviewed mostly young, "educated", multi-race, "nice" well-spoken people to represent the Remainers. Appalling coverage.

So Clinton is more likely to hit the button than Trump? Ohh dear, let's see if Putin is still mates with Trump in a few years time when Trump realises he's been taken for a ride in Syria and Assad is firmly in charge with IS wreaking havok across Europe and America. The Russians aren't attacking IS despite what they say. The Russians have taken the piss out of the West for years now, shooting down civilian planes and invading neighbour states without invitation.

In saying that it's more likely to be a rogue state like North Korea that starts WWIII and it doesn't matter who is in charge of the US.

Absolutely. I work with a load of them and they can't stop walking around with their faces down to their boots trying to out-misery each other. When you look at it, they are all over-privileged, overly- entitled, white, middle-class and self-important. They are so used to getting their own way with everything they have ever done that not getting what they want is an absolute disaster for them. For most of them, not getting what you want doesn't happen to them. That's for the poor and the 'ethnics' as they call them. They honestly think they are the centre of the whole universe and that the whole world thinks the same way as them. I've spent the last two days listening to them moan and whinge like they've somehow been cheated and all they want is to be indulged. I've just ignored them all. In much the same way as they ignore everybody else and every other country. They're like a whole country of bindippers; arrogant and nasty when things go their way but never happier when revelling in their own self-important misery.

Its simple really, Trump won because lack of democratic support for Clinton. There are more democrats in the US than republicans, its a fact. There just wasnt the energy and enthusiasm for democrats to go out and vote for Clinton - they stayed at home. Im telling you know, now way now how will Trump win in 2020. The political pundits are talking about some sort of Trump coalition, which is rubbish because he lost the popular vote, and only won the electoral vote due to a low turnout. Example, Detroit is hub city for black people - they didnt go vote, so Michigan went to Trump. Same can be said for Philadelphia - the African Americans stayed home in this city, and Trump won Pennsylvania. And of course its not just African Americans, but white democrats as well - they just didnt vote for Hillary because they wernt excited by her candidacy.

The democrats have done an Arsenal - they fuked up something they should have won.

Although unlike Arsenal and Wenger, the democrats will learn from their mistakes, and will nominate a candidate to electrify and energize their majority base - which they will turn into votes and win 2020. My bet, is Cory Booker is the next President.

Also, spare a thought for the secret service. Imagine being a secret service person, and having to take a bullet for this fuk wit.
No. They didn't vote for Clinton because, when push came to shove, even they could not stomach to vote for a lying crook like her. If the Democrats had used even one brain cell they would never have let her get as far as being a nominee, but of course these are the type of people like you that simply shut their eyes and ears to the unpalatable truth about both Blowjob Bill and his wife.

Also, speaking of Secret Service agents, I think you'll find they would be less offended by having to take a bullet for Trumptard than they would for Clinton. Those guys have long memories and despise her for the lies she told about coming under sniper fire in Bosnia. :x The woman simply cannot tell the truth. If her lips are moving, it's safe to say she is lying. End of.

You just can't get over your misplaced love-in with the lying criminal Hillary Clinton, can you?

Tbh DB10, I am appalled that you keep referring to Bill Clinton in this way as you use it as a slur against him - if I was president of America, I would feel quite proud of myself if monica Lewinsky (or any half decent looking assistant) got on her knees and sucked me off in the oval office every time I was having a stressful day 8)

Mostly correct except #4. If Michelle Obama decided she wants to run in 2020, she would EASILY win.
