I have the feeling this fucker will tell the board anything and everything they want to hear to keep his job, what worries me is if they fall for it :rubchin:

Lets be honest we know he's not adverse to lying through his teeth and then turning round and acting like he never said any such thing...... and getting away with it

This board meeting is absolutely crucial for OGL and the outcome will tell us a great deal about the future of our club :rubchin:

Something has clearly gone on in the boardroom and it's led to this very odd situation. Wonga is desperate to stay on when most decent manager s would've walked away with dignity. Dictators rarely know when to walk away.

I reckon
Gazidis - OUT
Chips, Peckham - PHW's old mates and Wenger lovers. At worst fence sitters.
This leaves the Kroenkes. Josh is young and would probably welcome change, has already mooted Henry as a potential successor, so I would say he's OUT. This leaves Stan to have he final say.

6 days to go (145 hours) :barscarf:

I'd think that Keswick is against him staying on. I reckon the Palace walkout was done to send a message. Plus his 'interview' a while back was hardly supportive of The Old Fraud.

Little Kroenke is a joke. All he seems to care about is getting TH14 as manager. God help us when he inherits the club from The Syrup.

All guesswork to a large extent but I reckon there liT be some level of disagreement or reluctance at board level.

As blasé as Wenger is there is no way he will have enjoyed having his future dragged up week in week out in the context of every man and his dog questioning his future. If he wants to stay, he would much rather have just signed the fucking thing months ago?

Not saying that the board won't renew the deal and ultimately I think the offer will be there for him and that they will try and badge some restructuring of the backroom team as some sort of fundamental change, but I think that there is some opposition.

Ive always said the bar is low for Arsene and the club. So lets see if they can get Sanchez right. Lets see if they can sell him abroad rather than to City or Chelsea. If I held any expectations of Wenger and the board, I would be optimistic of resigning Sanchez - but thats asking too much from this lot.

Even Wenger fans subconsciously lower the bar - ive seen Neville give Wenger credit for losing narrowly. even last year, we lost out to Liescter City, and the bar was lowered to celebrate second place, rather than ask why Wenger lost out to Leicester City whose team cost less than Ozil.

Well AKB's could always point to us finishing ahead of Spuds as some form of "success" but even that has gone now which is why even the moderate AKB's have turned on him, the only AKB's left are the extremists.

The only reason we might keep Sanchez is because the new TV deal means we may pay him £250-300k a week which Bayern will be reluctant to match, even then I think Sanchez might go because I doubt the muppets on the board and the manager will convince him that the club has ambition (without lying).

The bar has always been top 4 but I think Silent Stan will push for Wenger to be given a chance to "redeem himself", which just shows how naive he is about the current situation, 90% of the fanbase want him out, the atmosphere will be terrible and Wenger is clearly out of his depth against the best modern managers, if Wenger has any sense he will leave himself because it will all get even more s**t next season, but he is arrogant enough to think he can turn it around though.

In a way I hope he does stay because he will get humiliated and the fans will turn even more on that f**king parasite Kroenke who would only replace him with another s**t manager anyway.

If it is to be the end of Wenger finally then i'd absolutely love us to go and get a real proven manager like Allegri and Simone and im sure they'd come for £8.5m a year.

I have a feeling though that the club won't pay that kind of salary to the next man and we'd probably end up with someone like Silva or Eddie Howe or someone of that type.

Either way if it was to be the latter then bring it on as far as im concerned. Those managers are young, willing to learn and have done good things in the game up until now.... if they fail they sure as hell won't get as long as Wenger has and at least the whole process of sorting the club out will have begun.

Most of all the enthusiasm of going to/watching games might actually return when we go into a season not actually knowing whats going to happen before a ball is kicked.

There's a fine line between having a laugh with a bit of banter and being offensive. A little close to crossing it OB.

Theory making the rounds on this podcast is that Usmanov has assured Wenger funds if he takes over and wants him to stay.
