The 2015 Transfer Rumours Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The worst thing is Wenger could sign no one and he will still stay in charge. He gets away with murder every season and the big shots at AFC just dun give a damn.

#Arsenal have made a formal bid to #Sevilla for Krychowiak, thought to be €30m. #BayerLeverkusen's Lars Bender is still in the wings.

This one has been dead in the water with weeks now, do the humane thing and put it out of its fucking misery.

I like Gary Neville as a commentator tbh. And he was spot on, of course. And on the topic of Cesc...I'm fairly certain in 2007/08 when we were playing some of the best football in the world, we played 442 with Cesc and Flamini in the middle of Hleb and Rosicky. It seemed to work then (until the Eduardo injury, Gallas crying, etc...)

SURELY THE SILLY OLD DUFFER WILL STRENGHTEN THE SQUAD?
Not really, mate. Just simply copy n paste all posts from last year into a new thread and it'll save us all posting this season because it's going to be exactly the same as the last and the one before that. The only exception being we might not win a cup this year.
But McDowell is already doing that with all his posts from twitter.

if Monday night showed anything it is that we are in need of a new CB just as much as a DM

No way - what you watched on monday night was our 3rd and 4th choice centre backs in action so to compare that situation to the need for a 1st choice top quality DM is madness :o Personally I think that we have too many holes in our first choice team to even consider upgrading our "squad"

Just goes to show how ruthless Maureen is. Terry played every single league game for the chavs last season but whatever Jose has seen over the summer he has decided to phase him out. Substituted in the opening 2 league games and sniffing around Stones all window to replace him in the starting 11 shows there is zero room for sentiment in the game. If only our idiot had the same ruthless will to win.

What would be better/worse?
A. We don't sign anyone else, we stand in stark contrast to the genuine title contenders who have spent big in the summer.
B. We sign some cast off like Welbeck who makes a minimal contribution to the side.
C. We by some miracle get a major forward signing like Benzema and get a boost while still lacking strength in depth at the back.

What is your opinion?
