That's not to mention that Podolski, Giroud and Walcott are/were all soaking up at least 100k/w each in wages, Welbeck undoubtedly on 60-80k/w, even the likes of Park and Sanogo hoovering up about 30k/w. Absolutely - unless the bloke is a top all-round striker who can bang in a hatful of goals in our 4-5-1, he is going to be a flop because that is what we need.BFG4 wrote:I feel sorry for Perez. Klopp seems to really put the 'Man ' in manager in that he tries to culture a particular bond with all his players and seems to get on with most. Not an easy style of management to pull off but Sturridge just seems to have an attitude in general and a bit of a Billy big bollocks about him that is any managers nightmare.
I really find it funny that some people on here go hysterical in their criticism of Walcott, Giroud and Welbeck and protest (rightly) that we need better (oh, how we do), but then devalue their own opinion by offering up absolute muck like Sturridge as "better".
