Poor chap must be losing his marbles, as he seems to have forgotten his infamous ‘Trolley Dash’ around the time of our “irrelevant” (see Red Member’s posts for background) 8-2 defeat.

Like it...."must be losing his marbles".....the guy is a nut job...certifiable

You just know if we have bad season it wont be his fault:

'Weel i did warn you that buying too many players can upset the balance of the teem but eeveryone insisted i speend teh money!'

He'll say it without a flicker of irony either :banghead:

I just realised Mustafi will likely be on international duty with Germany so wont actually join us until after the break and then will take however many weeks to integrate into the team, what a fcuking joke our manager is.

I wish the two of them success with us but i'd rather they hadn't come

Ill give both players the benifet of the doubt. Mustafi has been included in the recent German squads, whilst Perez would be a late bloomer, a bit like Negredo.

But the fact they didnt cost a fortune wont be an excuse if they arnt the quality thats required. Since RVP left, Wenger has spent 10m on Podolski, 12m on Giroud, 16m on Welbeck, 5m on Park, and now 17m on Perez - thats 55m on strikers, yet it Perez isnt a hit, it means we have spent 60m on strikers of which none stand out as a top goal scorer

That's why he's referred to as Clueless.

Perez...

The disappointment is not so much that we didn't go for the top top TOP shelf of attackers, paying some ridiculous amount that no-one would be able to pay off on the pitch anyway, but why didn't we go for players like Vincent Janssen or Michy? Both with big potential... these two for instance were available for sums less mind-boggling... And I am sure I could come up with more names were I paid a big salary to look at players all day long

That's not to mention that Podolski, Giroud and Walcott are/were all soaking up at least 100k/w each in wages, Welbeck undoubtedly on 60-80k/w, even the likes of Park and Sanogo hoovering up about 30k/w. If you consider Campbell as a striker (which he was supposedly signed as) and think that we will definitely be covering some of his wages, it's a fair estimate to say that we will be spending around 400k/w on wages for strikers (and playing a winger Sanchez up front).

You've also got to put it into the context that we only ever play one up front and hence our spending on strikers shouldn't need to be as high as comparable clubs.

Clearly the relationship between Sturridge and Klopp is not good. As a CF Sturridge is head and shoulders above what we've got. Surely a bid of £20m + Walcott.

Would be a great deal for us. :D :D

I feel sorry for Perez. At a proper club, he would be arriving, with a world class striker already in place, and the pressure on him, wouldn't be so great. At Arsene F.C. we have an arrogant donkey up front, and the hope is, that Perez will replace him. If it doesn't work out, then the fans will blame everything but the guy who signed Perez. I also have a feeling that Wanker will try everything he can to keep Giroud in the team, so Perez will play out on the wing. I think this guys time at the club, will be a mirror image of Podolski,.

Absolutely - unless the bloke is a top all-round striker who can bang in a hatful of goals in our 4-5-1, he is going to be a flop because that is what we need.

Know a few Scousers who would take your arm off for that deal ( No, I mean they would literally TAKE your arm ;) ) Lot of their fans are sick of his attitude.

Klopp seems to really put the 'Man ' in manager in that he tries to culture a particular bond with all his players and seems to get on with most. Not an easy style of management to pull off but Sturridge just seems to have an attitude in general and a bit of a Billy big bollocks about him that is any managers nightmare.

Every team has that sort of player, we have Giroud and Wilshere who are both arrogant as fuck but yet to actually make a big impact at Arsenal.

If Sturridge didn't get injured so much, I would take him at a heartbeat. With regards to our transfer activity this summer, I can't help feeling we overpaid for Mustafi, only time will tell if that is money well spent. As for Perez, he is under immediate pressure to perform but he has to start ahead of Giroud who by all purposes is still seems like he is lying on the beach. Not that it makes any difference when he plays tbh.

As things stand with our squad, my expectation is for a top 4 finish but it is clear to see both Manchester clubs are already streets ahead of everyone else. Hanging onto their coat tails will be a big ask.

In fairness to Wenger he seems to have unearthed a gem in Holding, whether that is more through luck than judgement I don't know but it's good to see a young English CB in our defence again. It's been a while!

Can't help thinking Perez will be the new 'Reyes'..........speedy, good on the ball, looks amazing in one game then does nothing for 4 or 5.

Sturridge! :coffeespit:

Sorry, sorry - I'll try that again.

Sturridge is - nope sorry - hahahahahahaha :coffeespit:

Okay - one last try. :rubchin:

Sturridge is absolute shite. He is stealing a living as a footballer even worse than Walcott is ffs. Have a look at his goal stats; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Sturridge#Club

He doesn't have the technical ability of Giroud or the touch to link up play the way Giroud can. And for those that will offer up "he's a better finisher" I'd say to you, no he isn't, look at his hilariously shit goal stats. There are midfielders, Christ defenders, with better goal scoring rates than Sturridge!

And after all his shiteness, add to the mix that he is an utter cuntball with an ego that hilariously outweighs his "ability".

Look, Giroud is bog average on a good day, as is Welbeck, and we certainly need better, but lets not go to fucking stupidity-ville here, Sturridge is shite on a good day and utter gash on the other 99% of days. I really find it funny that some people on here go hysterical in their criticism of Walcott, Giroud and Welbeck and protest (rightly) that we need better (oh, how we do), but then devalue their own opinion by offering up absolute muck like Sturridge as "better".

I concur 100% with DB10 - giroud has an attitude and arrogance that far outweighs his ability, but Sturridge is a horrible c.unt that would destabilise any squad and (lest we forget) has an absolutely shocking injury record
