THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

For me it’s always easy on a loving affair because I identify myself so much with the club. When you can be where you love to be, that’s easy. It’s difficult because you want to respond to the demands of all the people who love this club. This is of course a job that demands 100 per cent commitment and you want to be at that level to make sure you can make everyone happy.

Joke....so loves the club...really?.....take away the £8.9 Million a year and see how long he hangs around, Fucking despise the deluded lying mug

A *word censored* who is actually useless at his job on every level, gets rewarded....beyond belief :banghead:

Wenger's priority now must be tying Theo down to a new 10 year deal paying £300K per week. Absolute priority. 8)

Yup! Gazidis sure knows which side of his bank balance the ole £1.3 million is buttered on. Interestingly the name/term Gazidis has the same 'root' as gadazia - which means "mouthful of wenger sperm". :?

Interesting slip from the club to ditch their unusual cloak of "undisclosed fees" to acknowledge that we spent 110m on players last year.

Talking of 'tying down' I did hear that Bouldy was in the barrel for the post-game jovialities, hence he is now the new face of Lube It Love It Products from Germany - A Company Owned & Run by Ozil's missus funnily enough.

Well it suits them to do it this time to put them in a good light, of course it is just a coincidence that the new TV money is now flooding in which is the reason why, along with half decent commercial deals, that we are spending more money.

I expect we'll spend over £100M this summer as well but ultimately it's not going to make a great deal of difference because A. Wenger is spending it and B. teams like City/United/Chelsea will spend £200M+, pay slightly higher wages and can offer CL football and tangile chances of real success.

It's all just so tiresome, we have more money but so does everyone else and the cycle of playing for top 4 continues, Stan is happy, Wenger is happy and the 'zombie fans' are happy, that is all that maters.

Zzzzzzzzz...

A 2 year contract with option to stay longer is the rumour doing the rounds, surely this is rubbish?!

Wenger IS bigger than Arsenal now. It's farcical.

On top of this, your club are announcing some unknown Nigerian striker as your first summer signing. You couldn't make it up!

Now a few days later, my support for this club, has all but evaporated. We have another two years(probably more) of this grade A *word censored*, dragging the club through the gutter. We will also have 'fans' like Moh Haider, who come out with this shit - "I'm happy that an abusive, rude & disrespectful band of fans were unsuccessful in driving Arsene out." Our fan-base deserves Wenger. We have fans who will forgive everything based on one good result, and as much as i respect the guys who protest, they are fighting a losing battle, when the majority of the stadium are happy with Wenger.
I asked him on twitter what he found disrespectful. Apparently it was singing "Arsene Wenger, you're killing our club".
Which is ironic as that is exactly what Wenger is doing.

It's obscene. There's going to be even more fighting between Arsenal fans next season - I don't understand how there are still Pro-Wenger nutjobs though? Fans of rival clubs are all happy that Wenger is staying on. Tuchel could have come in, a new face, and given the squad a shake up and the fans something to be excited about.

I am in shock that Wenger's actually been given even more time in the job.

Unfortunately, many of us knew this would happen. It was all so inevitable. When you have an owner that allows a self-deluded manager so much power and then won't replace that manager because that owner doesn't give a shit about the actual sport of football, you are basically fucked from top to bottom as a club.
