I'm no Wenger fan, but the bloke seemingly can't win on here.
I think we can all accept that our transfer kitty, regardless of how substantial it is at the mo, isn't a bottom less pit so if I was the manager I would absolutely prioritise my targets - for me that means spending the bulk of the kitty signing a TOP QUALITY DM and a TOP QUALITY Striker cos they are the biggest needs right now. The one comment wenker has said lately that I actually agree with is that we need quality additions more than quantity additions so spending that amount of money on Bernard will reduce the budget for those two key areas and will more than likely lead us to average recruitments in key positions. For me spending big on a top DM and on a Top Striker should then be followed up with a move for Cesar (cheap enough move) and then if we had enough money left I would have no probs going out and spunking it on a Brazilian super kid who is going to be a sensation

Mate even ignoring the fact that us upping our bid to £40m was widely reported last week and given the lack of activity was always going to be reported again this week, this is exactly how these bullshit rumours start.1989 wrote:http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... uarez.html

ITKs on Twatter post a rumour, if it gets enough retweets and gossip on there it gets picked up on by the football rumour websites like goal.com or caughtoffside and then eventually the rags run the story and BBC or Sky are forced to report on it because so many people are searching about it.
Take a look at this story: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/odd/news/a4 ... oaxer.html
I have to question - who in Arsenal's inner circle would be leaking transfer activity to this Geoff bloke and why?

@GeoffArsenal has got a track record though. He's not some teenage idiot taking the piss, he's from what I've read a middle aged family man.northbank123 wrote:Mate even ignoring the fact that us upping our bid to £40m was widely reported last week and given the lack of activity was always going to be reported again this week, this is exactly how these bullshit rumours start.1989 wrote:http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... uarez.html

I don't know why anyone would say things on Twitter only to gain followers? Really? Why would you go through all that abuse and mockery just so you can up your follower tally? And anyway he's got plenty of followers.
I think he's got links at the club, or maybe he even works for the club but doesn't want to reveal it. I don't know, but he seems very much in the know to me, based on all the "exclusives" that he's got right.
Match day squads for example, gets them right 100% of the time.

Have any of the exclusives in the media regarding our transfers being confirmed,Geoff was the guy on Twitter who said we bid 30m for cavani in the last transfer window remind where he is now ,everytime we are linked with a player you seem to think its gospel,I've been there you have got Twitteritis

Re: SUMMER TRANSFERS - Deals, Rumours and Buy/Sell Wish List
No, he said we bid 30m but didn't name the player. Two weeks ago he said it was for Suarez after we made the initial bid for him.mcdowell42 wrote:Have any of the exclusives in the media regarding our transfers being confirmed,Geoff was the guy on Twitter who said we bid 30m for cavani in the last transfer window remind where he is now ,everytime we are linked with a player you seem to think its gospel,I've been there you have got Twitteritis
He only said we can afford Cavani, not that we bid for him.

I used to feel all upbeat like him when I was 13
Wenger will soon sap that out of the poor guy.
However he does indeed have the makings of a new cult figure on here so I hope his flame continues to burn bright, I salute you friend
