As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Also, whilst Giroud certainly looks like an arrogant cock to us the fans, by all accounts he is well liked in the squad, whereas Sturridge has been disliked everywhere he's played, so deffo the type of twat that can destabilise a squad.

Nope, our business' are done and dusted. There is absolutely nothing interesting to see (apart from Natalie's tits) on Sky's transfer deadline day broadcast.
How the FUCKK can anyone even suggest Sturridge...That is mind boggling beyond even being funny....He is made of the same balsa wood as Gibbs...He has an arrogance off the Richter scale and unless he is played in the exact position he Demands then he sulks and is as useful as a chocolate teapot ...And we all know Wenger's penchant for playing players in the best positions
Sturrridge!!? jeeeezzzusss there are some retarded suggestions in this forum.

At Arsene F.C. we have an arrogant donkey up front, and the hope is, that Perez will replace him. If it doesn't work out, then the fans will blame everything but the guy who signed Perez. I also have a feeling that Wanker will try everything he can to keep Giroud in the team, so Perez will play out on the wing. I think this guys time at the club, will be a mirror image of Podolski,.
Yeah agree with all of that.
TBH though this signing hardly impresses me. I know it's early days and we have to give him a chance but at 27, in a 7 year senior career he's never once hit 20+ in the league and in a lot of those seasons he's hit under 10 league goals...

Also he is no spring chicken so we can't use the "he has potential" excuse with him. He's 10 years into his senior career at 26 years old. This is as good as it gets for him. He averages 7 goals a season over 10 years???

Utter utter fucking uber-gash.
Not 100 % sure that he has always played as an out and out striker ? maybe he was a wide player originally who has now established himself central ?

He has occasionally played as a winger but mostly as a striker. Of course if he was good enough at any of those clubs he would have been the first choice striker, but he wasn't.
His only 20+ PL goal season (2012/14) corresponded with the Mouser title challenge that was ended so hilariously by Slippy G. Deciding factor behind that tally was Suarez without a doubt. That season Suarez made both Sturridge and Sterling look a lot better than they actually were.
Chambers gone to Boro on loan for the season, if as expected Debuchy heads off before the window shuts that leaves us one Bellerin injury away from what exactly?

Im sure we've had this conversation before on this forum, Reyes was top draw and scored some stunning goals.
TH14 gave him a torrid time, and that coupled with the fact he didn't ever settle in London meant we probably didn't ever see him at his best, Despite this I remember his debut goal versus Chelski into the top corner, and an equally exquisite turn and shot on his right foot into the clock end goal versus Boro the following season.
If Perez has half of what Reyes had, I will be happy with that over Giroud any day of the week.

jenkinson
Isn't he out with a long term injury...?
Did his cruciate in February but just read he's back in "light training" so he should be in contention sometime mid 2019
