THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Also saw a great pic taken of Wenger after we'd scored the second with Jenko and Bouldy putting in massive celebrations behind him and three muppet subs slumped in their puffy coats and hats with no expression or emotion.
The point about the bench subs is very important. Wenker has created a culture of little belief and team spirit. He's a liar when he speaks on tv, and until the fans convincingly make their point...he will continue to control the club

I was gonna type 7th 8th 9th 10th etc. etc. all the way to 17th but I got bored.

All joking apart though - Wenger is living in his own little make-believe world.

Didn't Bucks Fizz sing a catchy little song called The Land Of Make Believe?? Maybe that could be the "feem toon" when the team run out at home matches, with Wenger frantically tugging at his zip in the background

I take offence at your use of the words "sing" and "catchy" there, mate!

Sorry mate - I used the words "sing" and "catchy" in the same way that Wenger uses the words "mental" and "strength"

Remember when Arsenal used to set standards, where everyone in the starting 11 were proud to wear the shirt, and finishing anywhere bellow 1st was an insult.

Pepperidge Gooners remember.

Getting back to the Wenger...... we can finish in second place story, reading the comments below that story make me so :censored: angry. Yet again Wenger has made the club a laughing stock with his inability to think before he opens his :censored: mouth. Worse than that are the deluded Wenker supporters who blame the BBC for mis-reporting making us look stupider still! After 17 years of meeting the press you would of thought he'd of got the hang of them by now! :banghead: :banghead:

well, I think we know now where the AST stands on AW :
A spokesman from the Arsenal Supporters' Trust said of the numbers: "These figures contain few surprises. They show that Arsenal yet again made a profit from the sale of their best players and that the club has large cash reserves.

"Arsenal fans have contributed to this financial health through paying some of the highest ticket prices in world football. AST members want to see this money used for more, and better, investment in the team.

"The results also show the club does spend considerable money on wages, approximately £150m per annum. But the football decisions made on player investment, player selection and player wage levels are not delivering a more competitive team.

"The AST believes the club are financially well set to improve on the decline of the last few seasons. The remaining question is whether it has the boardroom leadership and football decision making expertise to make the money count.
ouch.

i'm glad someone else thinks we have the money to do better than we have or are.

plus, i think "football decision making expertise " is posh talk for you're shit Arsene.
