As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Just to cap it off with a CB (or 2 if Verms leave), CDM, GK and a CF (doubt this)
I think Wenger will play this:
OG as CF
Sanchez - LAM
OZ11 - CAM
Theo - RAM
Aaron and new CDM
So it would seem that it's Santi who is most 'affected' by Sanchez' purchase and not Theo or OG
I doubt he will buy a center forward after spending so much one Sanchez. Matter of fact Yaya will get some games as CF too. I still think we should offer 27 Mil for Jackson Martinez.
CB - Fabian Schar
CDM - Bender/Javi Martinez, Gustavo, Schneiderlin. In that order
Hopefully Ospina comes home.
Peace

In AW's eyes we already have 2players for every position
Gk Chesney/wouldn't be shocked if Vivian comes back
RB Debuchy/Manvuillo/Jenkinson
CB BFG/Kos/TV5, don't be surprised to see no one else come in
LB Gibbs/Monreal
DM Arteta/Jack
CM Rambo/Diaby/Rosicky
LF Poldi/Sanchez
RF Walcott/Gnabry
ST Giroud / Sanogo
Where's The Ox, Ozil, Flamster and Santi?
Don't tell me the non-genius of wenker has sold them!?
Topgoon trying so hard to be negative he decided they don't play for us.
(Didn't include Joel either and who the fuck is Manvuillo??!? )

Becoming depressed at this distinct possibility is an understatement.
What about Cazorla, OX and Flamini ?
Flamini is a squad player,Sorry I meant to put the Ox next to Rambo/Diaby/Rosicky as that's where AW ultimately sees him playing. Ozil is LF/RF, same as Cazorla.
One of our main problems over the last few seasons has been Arteta as the holding/defensive midfielder...never should have been played there..never was a DM and never will be...but still a far better option there then jack.
If we go into the season starting him there then all the good work in this transfer window will be undone.
Not going to panic yet though...been doing good business so far..lets hope it continues.

he has 'skill and quality' which he showed in abundance earlier on - but since signing a big contract and becoming a regular in the 1st team - we only get to see glimpses of that potential and ability occasionally. I was so hoping he would become a world class player, there is still tie of course, but he will need to change his attitude both on and off the field, I sincerely hope he does because he has the potential to be an Arsenal legend.... if he stops swaggering around and starts 'playing 100% every game' - that and hopefully avoiding any further long term injuries...maybe he will do a Ramsey and regain his initial promise and drive.
I agree 100%.
if hes not too small, then he's not tough enough. one or the other. i dont think batty or ince were tall but they could mix it.
he's more suited to the false number 10 role in a tika taka side. but he can't shoot either.

Not trying hard to be negative just speaking from experience. I said from the start not to get excited about our transfer policy as you would have to be insane and not to get angry about it either.
A leopard isn't going to change it's spots that quickly. We got Ozil, we didn't really need him but he gave everyone a lift at the time. The Sanchez signing is a good one but is as pointless as signing Fabregas. He isn't a striker/DM/RB/GK, but from the attitude on here, he's given everyone a lift.
For me the best thing about Sanchez is laughing at the Victims losing out on him even after they came '2nd'
Joel Campbell is going to be loaned out,
Manvuillo was meant to be Manquillo(RB from Atletico Madrid) and 1989 we have bought 2 players, one is a luxury player if we don't buy others and the other is a like for like replacement.
Nothing from our dealings so far fills me with anything but indifference as I know the only thing worth getting excited about this transfer window is Natalie's airbags being squeezed into a tight top come Aug 31st.

Why would anybody post in a colour that makes the post more difficult to read? It doesn'y make you more interesting, just annoying. So you fuck off, PEACE!!!!
Not the worst news, though, as it would still mean we'd get of Arteta.
As I sprinkle a large spoon of salt over this, I wouldn't be unhappy. he wouldn't need to adapt to the league and did his job admirably at Southampton last year, cue us lowballing them till someone else outbids us and gets him.

With Le cock back from Brazil, and has more than likely swiftly and firmly grabbed all reins, I pretty much have to agree with you here. Will come as no shocker, if we start haggling our way out of transfers again, with the penny pinching scrooge as lead negotiator.

I think this is a non-starter. The Bin Dippers have already asset stripped Southampton and so even if we are interested we'll be taken to the cleaners.
If we really wanted him then we should have moved before Lallana, Shaw and Lambert & Butler were sold.
