THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I think this says it all...: And it seems the former Southampton man was telling the truth when he said it wasn't about the money as he's set to earn far less than he would have done by staying at the Emirates:
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be paid about £125,000 a week by Liverpool.
Turned down new Arsenal contract worth up to £180,000 a week

Players want out. The club will be a total ruin for the next manager and we need a good one to lure top players in.
He will still be getting a significant pay rise on what he was on with us mind, so it's win-win for him
He managed to get out while he could and got a nice little increase.

Bet Wally is fuming !

A bit off subject but i see that Cologne is already down to Family and Friends and West Brom is about to go the same way on Weds.
Arsenal is starting to prove a hard sell such is the mess we have been reduced to.

Apologies if this has been mentioned. But in today's Telegraph - Saturday- there is a piece on how Arsenal have made a pigs ear of this transfer window and turned a profit despite - in catalyst for change mode - assuring us of the £150 million transfer war chest, last April.

The bit that caught my eye was when Burt said openly, that the problem was there were players at the Club who like playing for Arsenal but have given up on Wenger.

Equally, there were players - Lemar ? - who quite like the idea of joining but we're put off by Wengo.

You would never have read an indictment like that even six months ago. :rubchin:

But I am not sure if it is 'subscribers' access only on that article.

It's by a guy called Jason Burt.

Admitted that Lemar stuck two fingers up at us (him really)

On Sanchez he is "convinced that the Chilean remains 100% committed to Arsenal".....How much longer does this man think he can carry on insulting our intelligence???

Here's a newsflash Arsene...he hates you.... and by association now, AFC and all of us.

So we went from Monaco closing the door on the transfer to Lemar rejecting us? Smh

Wenger has many weird and strange theories, he seems to be the only one who quotes them and no one knows where the facts came from

one of the many he goes on about is that players try harder the closer they get to their end of contract as "they are all professionals and that is what i have always done"

Wenger just confirmed they bid 100 million Euros for Lemar, and will bid again next summer

So the old wanker assumes he will still be there next summer....after the seasons disastrous start......he really thinks he's never leaving

Watching the Sunday Supplement today...amazing how the journalists "understand the fans frustrations " but the majority in the past said " be careful..." or called protesters disrespectful.
The media world now knows that Wenger is finished and are jumping ship as quickly as possible. ..

I saw sunday supplement today as well and its great that at long last the journos are calling him out but at the same time weve had years of being told by them that we were disrespectful to want him gone and who do you replace him with etc etc, id bloody love for somebody to call out the journos now and put them back in their little box,how any journo that thinks they are serious could have played along for years with the idea that wenger was still for the man for the job is gobsmacking, talk about talking and printing bullshit for years instead of listening to he people in the know in this case us lot, they are Just as ridiculous as TOF himself and need to take a long hard look at themselves,to let this debacle carry on for this long is astonishing

I'm glad to see some Gooners here are finally realizing that TOF will be here until he is 90, unless we take action.

Nice to see the media wankers starting to call him out. Shame they never bothered back in 2011 after us losing the League Cup to a soon-to-be-relegated side, dropping 21 points on the run-in to bottle the title and the 8-2, when we really should have cut the cord; and all the humiliations and blown title chances since. The failed Project Youth, based on the austerity lie, was also unnecessary. Trouble is, the media flip-flop as badly as most of the supporters. Things will never change under The Old Fraud.

Hmmm so obviously that will be coming out of the money they are "Safeguarding" from this years war chest, or will it come of of the money they will "Safeguarding" for the 2018-2019 season?

How any person with an iota of of reasonable intelligence can ever believe anything he says is beyond me.

He continues to compound lie upon lie upon lie.

We all heard/read when he said "Alexis Sanchez will not be sold" - Then that particular untruth was amended to "Alexis Sanchez will not be sold to any other Prem Club"

Then Lo! And behold $hitty offer £60million (£55mill + £5Mill add on's or whatever) for him and wenger, NOT Arsenal, but Wenger accepts the offer; an offer from another Prem Club - I might have once said a competitor, but we all know that there is no way we are going to compete with the likes of $hitty whilst under his mismanagement.

Of course he uses the excuse; yet another lie among many to claim that by selling to $hitty it would enable him to bring in another (superr qualitee) player as a replacement. But at no point in all of this did he ever say or even hint at perhaps the only way Alexis might be sold was to allow the purchase of a replacement.

He is a disgrace as a manager and as far as I am concerned he is a lying, coward who if he had any scruples of any kind, he would admit if only to himself how he is a failure, and do the proper thing and step away from his position as manager of Arsenal FC.

We all know that wiggy has no scruples or morals of any kind, that is how such high-profile business man are, the recent debacle of his TV Channel showing the hunting animals for fun being another dark page in his business portfolio.

So when it comes to Arsenal FC, he will use it and bleed it dry till it has served his purpose then he will (perhaps) sell it at a profit. In the meantime we have to do all we can to make him suffer by making Arsenal FC as unprofitable and his ownership of it as a business as unpleasant as possible, that is the only way we can fight him, other than spreading the truth of his being an odious, disgusting piece of filth world-wide to as many who will listen or take notice and hopefully add their voice in opposition to all he is and does; including his ownership of Arsenal FC.

When Kroenke bought Arsenal FC - Those who sold their shares to him and who agreed to continue to work under his ownership, will have been informed of his methods and intentions, wenger is one of those and so is equally culpable, had wenger argued the cause for Arsenal FC as a football club in terms of us being a world renowned club and force in the footballing world, and stood by those arguments perhaps wiggy would either have had second thoughts or sacked him and brought in someone else, and so wenger went along with the system and intention to run the club for profit before trophies and on the pitch success, selling his principles with us down the river, which is why he gets to earn one of the highest wages in football management, whilst failing to deliver trophies but keep the increasing profits rolling in.

If anyone ever tries to tell me that wenger is a man of honour and not a liar these simple Facts can be quoted to them.

Wenger = A man without honour, who continues to lie more and more with every passing day.
Kroenke = One of those evil business men who would happily see the death and destruction of various animal species for profit.

May they both reap what they sew, the sooner the better.
