No no no, not quite right -

Monday: off-side
Tuesday: asked to do something with his left foot, fell over
Wednesday: off-side
Thursday: Supposed to have medical but couldn't be bothered to show up, after all for £130k a week isn't worth putting any effort in
Friday: hopefully by some miracle gets something right and ****s off to City

So has he gone yet?

I'm in Cyprus, sat in an internet cafe, drinking Keo by the way. Have got a sky box in my apartment by the way but getting severely frustrated by lack of news.

Bas that's a very young Cesc in the photo!

Did I mention I was in Cyprus? :D

City fuming over Adebayor twist after Arsenal striker flirts with Chelsea move

By Chris Wheeler
Last updated at 8:38 PM on 17th July 2009

Manchester City are furious with Emmanuel Adebayor after the Arsenal striker's advisers attempted to engineer a move to Chelsea on Friday night.

Sportsmail revealed earlier this week that Adebayor was offered to neighbours Manchester United when talks with City over personal terms of £170,000 a week looked to be in danger of collapse.
There were indications yesterday that he was finally ready to agree a move to City and head up to Manchester for a medical. But the club were amazed to discover that the Togo forward has been touted to Chelsea as he continues to stall on a £25million move to Eastlands.

Adebayor even met Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger yesterday over the possibility of staying at the Emirates for another season, but the Gunners are adamant they do not want him back and are keen to honour the deal agreed with City.

In spite of the latest twist, City are resisting the temptation to pull the plug and will hold last-ditch talks this weekend aimed at resurrecting the transfer. The dramatic news followed official confirmation from Everton yesterday that they had rejected a bid - believed to be £15m - for England defender Joleon Lescott.

Although club sources dismissed speculation that City boss Mark Hughes will switch his sights from Lescott to Nemanja Vidic and try to follow up his capture of former United striker Carlos Tevez with a daring bid in the region of £30m for Sir Alex Ferguson's defensive linchpin, City are clearly not worried about upsetting their neighbours. Tevez could make his debut when City open their pre-season tour of South Africa against Orlando Pirates in Polokwane today.

It kicks off the three -team Vodacom Challenge that sees City face Orlando's Soweto rivals Kaizer Chiefs on Tuesday.
Gareth Barry yesterday hit back at Anfield manager Rafael Benitez for accusing him of being a money-grabber after choosing City over Liverpool . The England midfielder said: 'People can talk about the money but the players who are now joining City are proving my decision to be a correct one.'

Maybe he has burnt his bridges with us lethal but the bottom line is that unless a club comes in with an acceptable bid and the *word censored* actually agrees to go to them then I think we will be stuck with him  Without the money from his transfer we will be unable to buy a different striker and how many of us actually believe that wenger wont play him if he is still here when the league starts or even sept 1st ? I think wenger showed his colours in the paris champs league final.....drop flamini for the judas *word censored* despite the fact that flamoney had been a star in nthe best ever champs league defence in the run up to that game  :banghead:

He's a bit like one of those boners I remember having as a kid whilst riding the bus to school. My stop would arrive but the fucking boner would not go away quick enough  Can't recall how many times I had to stay on the bus way after my stop

Emmanuel Adebayor completes £22m Manchester City move - but holds out for £2m loyalty bonus from Arsenal

[quote]Emmanuel Adebayor last night (tonight) completed his £22million move to Manchester City - but remains locked in a battle with Arsenal over his £2m loyalty bonus.

The Togo striker is adamant he is due the cash from the Gunners because he did not put in a transfer request.

It is a demand that will leave Arsenal fans stunned as it was Adebayor’s apparent lack of commitment that soured their relationship with him.

The 25-year-old hit just 16 goals last season – as he courted the attentions of AC Milan – compared to the season before in which he smashed 30.

Adebayor – who will pick up £170,000-a-week at City – said his goodbyes to the Arsenal players and staff at the Gunners’ London Colney training ground yesterday.

He then travelled to Manchester to finalise the paperwork to complete the deal.

Adebayor’s wages at Eastlands will be around double what he was earning at the Emirates, with his agents set to pick up around £2m for their “servicesâ€
