As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Lets have a bit of sympathy for Mason and Moyes here.
I can tell you now they will both have got severe hairdryer treatment last night for letting down their master. He will be furious with them letting Arsenal back in.
No wonder Moyes is showing signs of strain, his Utd dream job slips further away.
Mason – that MBE looks a distant prospect despite his valiant attempts last night.
To make matters worse, those officials find themselves upstaged by a mere woman! but one who gets decisions right – lets have Sian Massey explan the offside rule to that lot

some more abuse for the truly awful commentating duo of some mug and Tony "corblimeyhonestasatwobobnoteguvnor" Gale.
Every set piece going into the Arsenal box, was preceeded with the "attacking Arsenal's achilles heel again", only for Everton to hilariously leave Kos unmarked at a corner to score
Couldn't praise Everton more, Gale even tried to say at first that the offside situation was correct. Everton players were fouled, Arsenal players fall over, or dive INTO the opposition to force free-kicks, or better still, red cards.
This is the template for all of these commentators now.
Would like the opportunity to turn off the commentary, so as just to have the crowd noise (don't start )
Gale is a twat no doubt. But the annoying thing (as you point out) is that this type of cheap sound bite commentary is now the norm for our games. It's getting unbearable. Would LOVE an option to have just the crowd noise on TV coverage.

Yes, it was indeed Tony Gale after all, so I shouldn't have been surprised. His defense of Saha's goal was laughable (if it weren't so infuriating).
And when Arsahvin equalised, he said words to the effect of, 'And the ball gets a deflection from the defender onto Arshavin, just like the Everton goal' - whilst oh so conveniently failing to mention that ours was a legitimate onside goal.
Worst thing about Moyes' tirade was the suggestion that Cesc's alleged comments influenced the ref in the second half. At best, the ref was slightly more even, while the two linesmen were equally awful in both halves. You're pathetic Moyes - nine years at Everton, more money spent than Arsenal, no trophies to show for it, no European football to show for it and you'll try to blame anyone except the person you should be blaming - you!

I watched the west brom home game abroad mate, and the pub had the game on with the sound of the crowd, without the commentary.
It reduced the annoyance level by around 50%.
Don't know which providers allow this, but I would definitely be in favour.

I've watched a few games on Gippo satellite channels in various pubs over the years and can honestly say that Arabic commentary is the best. It is fucking hilarious - honestly it's like something out of Team America!!

You could actually hear that “let’s go Arsenal, let’s goâ€
Davies went on a rant about her a few Podcasts back!
But to the original question, Sky Sports used to have it on the red button a few years back.. But the camera they used was on one stand of the stadium so you wasn't getting the full picture if you get my drift?

Durka durka jihad!
I was in Egypt the week before last , so watched the Leeds & Wigan games on Arabic TV. It was funny for a bit but fuck me they never shut up for a second! It was like a drunk, angry USMartin doing the commentary. And made about as much sense.
[quote="piresistible"]Lol love the pic - Superb fight lads - the tosser ref needs to be banned after that hideous decison. After the Everton goal the big screens showed the goal – and of course showed the player several yards offside. There was total uproar in the stadium – everyone was shouting. The players saw it too. The ref went to the linesman and had a long chat with him, and then walked back to the centre for the kick off, indicating a goal.
At half time they showed the “best of the first halfâ€
