The thing with not playing the best squad is kind of unfair...just imagine you would need help from another squad and they let the youth team play..
Cheers,

you have to submit a "squad" for the cl before the competition starts, this is the squad you play all your cl group stage games with however you see fit.
i'm aware of the "strongest possible line up" law, but the only way you'll ever enforce that is if every team has to submit their first XI, and only deviate from it due to injuries.
obviously that will never work though, cos what happens if someone comes out of nowhere (ox) whilst someone else turns to utter shit (chamakh last season) in the meantime?
the fact is, you're drawn into a group with 3 other teams, you then play every team home and away. qualification is in
your own hands and if you fail to qualify, it's noones' fault but
your own.
us arsenal fans spent plenty of time at the end of the 90's/start of 2000's failing to qualify from what looked on paper beatable groups so it's not like we don't know how it feels. what it is we
don't know though, is how it feels to win it! so stop crying! :p
as a footnote, when i was a little boy my dad was in the army and we lived not a million miles from dortmund, so i always want them to do well, and wanted you guys to finish runner up to us from day one xx
