RIP Barbara Ann Scott
Barbara Ann Scott King (May 9, 1928 – September 30, 2012) was a Canadian figure skater. She was the 1948 Olympic champion, a two-time World champion (1947–1948), and a four-time Canadian national champion (1944–46, 48) in ladies' singles. Known as "Canada's Sweetheart", she is the only Canadian to have won the Olympic ladies' singles gold medal, the first North American to have won three major titles in one year and the only Canadian to have won the European Championship (1947–1948). During her forties she was rated among the top equestrians in North America. She received many honours and accolades, including being made an Officer of the Order of Canada in 1991 and a member of the Order of Ontario in 2008.

Big Jim Sullivan (14 February 1941 – 2 October 2012) was an English musician, whose career started in 1958. He was best known as a session guitarist. In the 1960s and 1970s he was one of the most in-demand studio musicians in the UK, and performed on more than one thousand charting singles over his career. He was also credited with pioneering the use of the fuzzbox and the talkbox.

Erhard "Sepp" Wunderlich (December 14, 1956 in Augsburg – October 4, 2012 in Cologne) was a West German handball player.
As a member of the West German handball team, Wunderlich won the 1978 World Men's Handball Championship and the silver medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics. At the latter tournament he played all six matches and scored 22 goals.
