Swansea FA Cup Thread
Re: Swansea FA Cup Thread
I don't mind too much Arsenal selling replay tickets almost as soon as the final whistle goes, but selling tickets for the next round before Arsenal are though is a bit much http://www.arsenal.com/match-menu/17338 ... ab=tickets how stupid will this look if we loose to Swansea.
Re: Swansea FA Cup Thread
I suggest you read the link again as it does none of the things you say. It gives a provisional 4th round date and time and a date for selling tickets IF we get through the replay. This isn't the **** in 87 advising the pond life on how they could tickets for Wembley during half time_James_ wrote:I don't mind too much Arsenal selling replay tickets almost as soon as the final whistle goes, but selling tickets for the next round before Arsenal are though is a bit much http://www.arsenal.com/match-menu/17338 ... ab=tickets how stupid will this look if we loose to Swansea.

He does this quite alot, Michu's 1st goal in the league game it's as though he's planking on the floor before the shot is even struck!!!!mcdowell42 wrote:StuartL wrote:Or the fact that Arteta didn't move towards the player, to narrow / block his angle, instead turned his back (which seems recently to be the "Arsenal way" )northbank123 wrote:Jesus, you couldn't make up the same shit he trots out. Never mind the fact that we completely backed off after battering them for 35 minutes, that Podolski flicked a free header on at the front post and that they had players queueing up unmarked at the back post to tuck it up. It was obviously just 'focus'.armchair supporter wrote:I felt that when we conceded the corner that led to Swansea's equaliser we lacked a little bit of calmness and focus. It's frustrating to concede a goal like that where we couldn't clear the ball before the corner. Even on the corner, we were first to the ball and didn't win it. But overall we have demonstrated quality and heart and that is positive.

Exactly, any time we were attacking them they were throwing their bodies in front of our attempts but we just stood off against them nobody attempting a block, and looking at their equalising goal chesney seemed to have gone to ground b4 graham took his shot,im not saying he would have saved it anyway if he was standing just thought he went to ground too early.

Bradford away another example. That was awful goalkeeping.franksav63 wrote:He does this quite alot, Michu's 1st goal in the league game it's as though he's planking on the floor before the shot is even struck!!!!mcdowell42 wrote:StuartL wrote:Or the fact that Arteta didn't move towards the player, to narrow / block his angle, instead turned his back (which seems recently to be the "Arsenal way" )northbank123 wrote:Jesus, you couldn't make up the same shit he trots out. Harsh criticisms of Chesney lads. I think he's been one of the few performers to emerge with any credit over the past few weeks. He'll make the odd mistake still but playing behind that backline, I think the world's best goalkeepers would have a problem

I agree with SteveO, some of the criticisms are a bit unfair imo. I think he's been pretty solid recently, although the second half of last season and the first half of this season was littered with errors that I think stemmed from complacency.
