Morning!

Here’s what will happen today: England to try and bat all day, or until they have amassed such a massive lead that they can afford to chuck the Aussie’s in with half-an-hour or so to go.

It’s very cloudy though so the ball should ping about somewhat. I would think that England will have to work hard to bat long if the sun doesn’t make an appearance.

It's been fairly low key so far this morning; England haven't been troubled and have moved on to 287 - 4.

Indeed.

I like Wood (boom!); he has a nasty streak to his bowling and he can certainly hold a bat. He looks a good prospect.

We have a wicket,

Joe Root is out, and yet again it’s Mitchell Starc who has claimed the wicket. Root played wonderfully for his 130 but has feathered a drive to Nevill behind the stumps.

England will hope Stokes can batter a few around.
