He didn't actually say that did he? You'll finish top 4 like, but it's not safe yet. If he is suggesting arsenal is one of those sides and that's why we looked decent against you then to be honest he wants to pack his bags and fuck off. Does he need to take anything away from Sunderland? We dominated central midfield because, now we have Kirchhoff, we have a better central midfield for that type of battle. Arsenal are better everywhere else but losing that key area meant today was a draw, that's why it was 0-0, he might want to look at why he's never replaced vieira rather than going on about teams not playing
Wenger wouldnt hesitate when it comes to being derogatory about the opposition mate, but in this case I think he is making excuses for Arsenal not winning by saying Sunderland have something to fight for ... and is probably envious that we didnt get to play a team with nothing to play for like Swansea.

The fact that we've recently picked up maximum points against the likes of Watford and West Brom will not apply to his argument as he is very selective in what he chooses to use as examples.

Does anybody actually think we play good football anymore? Seriously? Any exciting pacy players are either overlooked or turned into boring ineffective players.

Every counter-attack breaks down at Ramsey, Giroud is a complete slug up front and now 14 PL games without a goal. Most of our attacking play seems to get into the final third, slow to a snails pace and then give it to Sanchez or Ozil and expect some magic.

Welbeck is limited but at least he stretches the game and plays at pace. I thought Iwobi had another good game and was the only player looking lively - which obviously got him subbed. Joel Campbell has done himself credit in a red shirt this year and is a pain in the arse for defenders so naturally has been frozen out so that we can watch yet another limp Walcott cameo.

I've never seen an opposition player become so terrified of trying to skin a man that they will go to any lengths to avoid it, but Bellerin has gone the same way as Sagna, Gervinho and Arshavin before him.

Two and a half years ago Gnabry was chucked into the side and really impressed with a blinding performance against Spurs in the FA cup and a few goals. His reward - no first team opportunities and a variety of woeful loan moves. Chamberlain was an incredibly exciting player 4 years ago who would get the ball and just run at defenders - now he is the most predictable plodder we have.

Thought Elneny was excellent today. Early days but he has been putting in some consistently good performances for us.l recently. Nothing spectacular but could well be a reliable player for us. Ability to utilise the ball sensibly and quickly coupled with covering ground quickly mean he could be a real asset in a counter-attacking side.

No we don't play good football and we haven't for a while. It's boring and frustrating, with the odd good bit here and there.

Mate. I read the quote in the Daily Fail, so whether it's legit or not? :rubchin:
After reading his condescending remarks about Leicester going on to win the league, I would think that his comments today are not remarkable.
As much as I loathe fat Sam, I'm chuffed for the Mackems to get a point today, it should gave been three?
Best of luck for the remaining games. I reckon you'll do it by a point.

WENGER OUT
Just seems odd, arsenal had something to play for too, it wasn't a dead rubber for either with CL qualification still being up for grabs. Very odd comments

Safcftm, I think what the old c.unt was trying to say is that it is unfair that we have two games back to back against teams that are fighting to stay up, when we should really have games against the mid-table teams with nothing to play for - of course his theories don't count for shit when you consider that palace were safe before playing us last week, and playing a Swansea team with 6 reserves in it at home didn't work out well either

The c.unt wants every excuse possible to distract away from the fact that he is a totally useless c.unt who is in charge of a demotivated bunch of players that are drifting along aimlessly

Compare him to Walcott the big fucking coward.

The fault, for both, is at Wengers door.
LOL. The definition of Giroud "carrying" the Arsenal forward line on his own for years:

1. Over 1,100 minutes without a league goal back end of 2014/15

2. Bettered that record by going over 1,300 minutes without a goal this season

3. Has managed less CL goals in the past 3 years than Lewandowski managed in half a campaign with Dortmund

4. Eliminated us against Monaco through sheer ineptitude

5. Has managed a pitiful 53 goals in 4 years as Arsenal's undisputed number 9. That's a rough count of about 13 a year.
Pathetic with the chances you get at Arsenal.

Giroud is a reflection of everything rotten at this joke of a club: overhyped, underachieving, no courage, no leadership, mentally brittle, slow, lack in quality but is overpaid and has a loud mouth. The guy is shit and Thierry Henry called it spot on that you'll never EVER win a thing with such a donkey as your number 9. Yet we had many of the Giroud fan-club (the CEO just gave his keynote ) up in arms.

Oh dear.

To make matters worse that useless c**** came out with that classic line just before Xmas:

"My title-winning experience will help the team get over the line"
:coffeespit: :coffeespit:

In that case might as well sign up Ayvin Demetolov who won the Kazakh All-Stars Premier League last year and brings much experience :rubchin:

What's pathetic, is that we have the usual embarrassing contingent asking people to "lay off poor little Olly and his delightful hair gel". Leave off. Giroud "working hard" is bollocks and anyone claiming that clearly knows less than zero. Watch today as a microcosm of this tosser: never once tries to stretch the defence. Makes no effort to stay onside as he cant be arsed ruining his perfectly manicured quiff. Didn't ask a SINGLE question of Kaboul. When afforded space to carry the ball, shirked responsibility and gave a yard sideways pass before jogging back (into an offside position of course). When in the box never asked questions or tried spinning his marker - something that requires no pace. When they needed an outlet to run the channels and hold it up? Monsieur Le Chapman was hanging on the only Sunderland CB. It's easier to hide that way.

That wankstain steals over £120k a week from the club.

Neymar earns £77k a week and Barca fans are talking about selling him because he parties too much. This is a guy voted on top 3 ballon d'Or and got almost 40 goals last year and won a Treble. That's how pressure works at big clubs.

I'll say it again, we need to get rid of certain fans from this club. Hammering Giroud after years of consistent shite, which is easily proven with facts is the right thing to do.

Anyone pleading leniency for him can do one and go follow netball with Olly Chapman
Again you spin everything you deluded prick. I said he has carried us - he has! Nobody else has been there to help him, I never said he was good enough I said he has actually tried for the badge. Doesn't mean he is good enough, but doesn't deserve the abuse.

I've spent over 3k this year watching Arsenal, live, and you want to 'get rid of fans' like me? Fuck off you *word censored*.

Remember when Welbeck scored and you came straight on here to praise Tottenham? Idiot, keyboard warrior *word censored*.

Sit by your keyboard mate stealing credit card details thinking your something - clearly bullied at school
Tried for the badge! Probably the biggest load of bollocks I've read on here! What are you? His fucking agent?

Giroud carried us? FFS, sometimes I wonder just what medication is widely available in the UK now!!

He is a lazy, less than decent player who has been given a contract which is more than double what he deserves or would have got anywhere else, and who can hardly hit a barn door with a truck!! He's average.....very very average, just another in a long long line of 'very average' players signed by the guy who works 24/7 and has been doing so for 30 years to only sign players who improve the team.........sic :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Didn't watch the game, chose to do a 4 hour round trip the see in the in-law which I would normally avoid at all costs but was better than watching Arsenal at the moment.

Did record it but after reading a couple of posts on here have deleted it without watching, you guys saved me 90 minutes of my life which I thank you for :barscarf:

I'll just repeat what I said before: the same kind of "fan" that would make a passionate defence of Giroud is also the same kind of weak-willed fan that turns up to watch us play Barca at home, in a CL knock-out and claims "I'm simply going to enjoy the day out and expect nothing".

Basically the attitude Ebbsfleet United would have if they were going to Old Trafford. Medication isn't going to help such fans and like I said, they're probably better off going to follow netball with Hair-gel Giroud. Maybe he can "carry" a netball team somewhere

I find the theory that Wenger feels the need to persevere with Giroud to help him get game time for the euros shocking, but ultimately believable.
We looked potent at Everton, why the need to drop Welbeck for the French Lee Chapmam?
Could also be possible that someone at the French FA has asked Le Fool to help him back to form by selecting him to start.

Giroud has been woeful recently but half the problem is that he is again a square peg in a round hole ,not suited to snails pace tik tak .
In normal teams however he would be dropped and wellbeck would have started but thats le duffer for you !
Felt sorry for the travelling fans yesterday waste of a very long journey !

Agreed. We will never get the best out of Giroud in the current system - he is NOT a lone striker, never will be. The Giroud hate was on here even when he was playing well and some of it is plain moronic and embarrassingly hysterical tbh.

But let's be honest, he's no world beater. At his best he is average but at present he is total gash and has been for months now. TBH there are far worse players in the side. But that doesn't change the fact you will not win the PL with an average striker being played in a system he is not suited to.

But worse than his form is his attitude. Previously he fought for everything and worked hard, winning most things in the air and laying off effectively even when he wasn't scoring regularly. Now he doesn't even do that - and on over £100K a week??!! His attitude sucks. A player in poor form can often get his form back by busting a gut, working hard at the basics, and Giroud doesn't even do that much at present. He should be dropped until he can demonstrate that he's at least hungry to play. And if he can't do that then there's the door.
